The man wasn’t finished. As she watched the man raise his hand again, she decided to run for her life.

The art style is fairly standard but in a good way, its above most other manhuas that either put too much detail or not enough. The story itself, while entertaining enough, is fairly predictable, you will be surprised very little. The characters can stand on their own well enough, most are very well developed and we get growth from alot of them. The pacing ranges from too fast to not fast enough, allot of chapters wind up discussing things that were already discussed and take too long doing it and they do it on mostly pointless things as to give the male lead more chances to flirt with the MC. The actual worldbuilding is limited as we only know of the other countries but only ever see one, in fact I think there’s only 5-7 locations in the whole story that they just alternate between expanding by about 2 more by chapter 90, but even then its really hard to tell where the characters are at any given point in most scenes. Set in a dynasty plagued by strange, magical creatures, this is a Cinderella story unlike any you’ve ever read before. Blondina is beautiful and kind, but she wasn’t born into privilege. When her estranged father discovers that she is his daughter, he offers to move her into the royal palace—with strings attached. Her only consolation is Amon, a supernatural creature who has proved himself a faithful and trustworthy companion. Together, Blondina and Amon begin to challenge the age-old divide between humans and beasts.

Reviews

The girl’s name was Blondina. She’d worked as a clerk at the inn since her mother passed away. Her life at the inn was arduous. Her hands were swollen from the tedious work, and she was often bullied for being clumsy. However, as an orphan, she had no better choice. It was either this or being sold to an old pedophile. With the peace treaty between humans and leopards hanging by a thread, will their blossoming relationship change things for the better—or for the worse?

Instead of answering, the man continued to examine the features of her face, intrigued by her attitude. Her blond hair and her beautiful, sparkling eyes. Her gray and crystal-clear eyes reflected her upright character. Sir?” Blondina quietly called him, staring blankly at the closed door, but he was nowhere to be found. She was now left alone in the dark room with only the dim lights of the candle surrounding her. The title is a bit deceiving. The "beast" ML isn't raised by the FL exactly like pet and master or someone eternally grateful to their saviour. Their relationship is more like companionship (friendship-ish, of course, it grows into romance later on) and I really like that dynamic. This was it. She finally decided to put her survival before a ring left behind by her father, who had done nothing but abandon her and her mother.

Looking at their spotless skin and imposing posture, she knew they weren’t just ordinary people. Their beauty was incomparable to an average man, and they were entering the room in an organized manner as if they were trained to do so. I told you my mother left this to me, telling me it was the only legacy left behind from my father!” As she pushed open the heavy wooden door of the shop, the dry air mixed with the smell of perfume welcomed her. It smelled exactly like a place fancy ladies would visit. So I completed the series, overall it wasn't too bad a read for me. It wasn't deep, engaging or amazing in anyway. But it was fun to watch all of the light hearted cuddling. The story suffers from poor build up and execution but over all I think I could recommend this to someone.

Fortunately, the storytelling is much better done in the novel, with the plot points better fleshed out and explained without feeling like an exposition dump. I suppose it's just the difference you'd typically expect from a novel's adaptation. My Gently Raised Beast, Volume 1 is another brilliantly-made manhwa adaptation from Ize Press, with some great comedic beats and a lovely, if somewhat generic, heroine. While the first volume isn’t a stunner in its own right, we think the series shows definite promise; if you already read widely in this genre, then My Gently Raised Beast will certainly find a good home on your shelves. You do look just like your mother,” the man said. He finally showed some sign of emotion only after he finished observing her face. His clear, sharp eyes stared right at Blondina’s.

Tears started to well up in her eyes when she finally caught her breath, but she kept the tears from dropping. This is nothing. I’ve gone through worse. She softly touched the ring in the pouch as she clenched her trembling lips tight. She knew it was the only legacy left by her mother, and she had promised to protect it until the very end.The man elegantly raised his hand and gestured to his servant, who handed him a candle. With the candle in one hand and the other holding Blondina’s chin, he examined her face closely as if he was observing an intriguing object. With the ring in her hand, Blondina turned toward the window in her room and watched the sun slowly set into the horizon. The fields outside turned orange as the sky darkened. Caught by such incredible scenery, she slowly drifted away to daydreaming.
