Some of the tales are familiar, like the ones about Aron Ralston and Hugh Glass, whose dangerous adventures have been made into movies. Others are less known, but just as riveting. For survival enthusiasts, especially younger audiences, but for anyone who reads inspiration non-fiction. Beautiful artwork too.

I love this book. The copy I have is large bound, filled with artistic color and imagery that feeds the imagination. The text was obviously thought out and the writing has a smooth, excellent style.

The Woman Who Froze to Death – Yet Lived, a woman who was trapped under freezing water for so long her heart stopped. Four hours later, medics managed to warm her blood enough to revive her. Each story is told matter-of-factly, including the occasional grisly detail. The large format of the book itself and the hand-drawn pictures add to the drama.
