Watch our video tutorial to craft along with us and create your own willow wreath . Remember, you can always use a different color of crepe paper for your flowers, try different techniques, and arrange your wreath differently. Her nest is directly above the front door, but at least it goes with the spring decor! I think she must have been attracted to the new beautiful spring door wreath. Anywho, Ihave moved this Pussy Willow Wreath & L-O-V-E letters to our mantel & am perfectly pleased with the results. To make this wreath, you begin by cutting your pussy willows into short lengths, about a foot or less in length. You want them all to be around the same size. If you want to craft along with us during our live workshop, be sure to make your pussy willow branches first. Because we have a separate photo tutorial and written instructions for the branches, we will not be going over how to make them during the live. Instead, we will show you how to make a willow wreath with your branches as well as the small blossoms and buds.

And I especially love that it can work for both winter & spring decor since the Pussy Willow tree/shrub appears in the late winter & early spring!Want more projects like this one? Browse all of our wreaths and crepe paper flowersfor more ideas. Or see our previous Member Make workshops.

Repeat this process until the entire bundle is covered. Use the extra branches (if you have any) for filling in openings. I fell in love with this N-O-E-L Christmas Letters displaya few years ago& have kept the idea in my mind hoping for a chance to create something similar forourhome. I must also admit that I will probably keep this display on our mantel until we move. I LOVE it so much!! Although I am trying to take as much decor as I can up to my parents house before our big move, I must confess that I did go rummaging through the attic last time we were up there for these L-O-V-E letters. I really wanted needed them for our Valentine’s decor! Opt for a traditional mix of foliage with berries, holly and pinecones, or try something a little more modern, whether that means frosted leaves, on-trend dried flowers or even Christmas baubles. If you like, you can embellish the finished wreath with a small nest, mini eggs, and some moss. It’s a lovely spring detail and perfect addition.I used wire to attach mine, but a hot glue gun would also be a great way to add it to your own spring wreath. You might even like to add some pretty flowers. I’m jumping off the wall with excitement, which is probably why it’s a good thing I’ve only been drinking decaf tea. Once you have coveredyour wreath with q-tips you can hang it on a door, on yourmantel, or within a letter display! The options are endless!

Take one bundle, form a fan shape with the branches, and place them along a portion of the wreath form. Be careful that the bottom of the branches point inside. To help you find the perfect wreath for you and your home, we've searched high and low to bring you our edit of the best real and artificial Christmas wreaths on the shelves. Whether you prefer real foliage or plan to go for a faux option that can be used year after year, there are plenty of chic Christmas wreaths available to shop now for 2023, offering a myriad of designs to suit all tastes. At the side I switched out the faux snow in the lanterns for the warm weather season with some moss and pinecones. Easter eggs would be a fun addition too. I can’t believe it! When Roger & I talk about it I keep accidentally saying things like “Next year, when we move…” or “when you havea job next year…” Poor thing has to correct me every five seconds. It’s so hard to believe that we have almost made it through 4 years of dental school!

More Wreath Inspiration

Maybe it’s all the snow this past month, but we are more eager than ever for some signs of spring! We have seen snowdrops and crocuses pop up just recently, and can’t wait for more flowers to start blooming. Of course we also like to get ready for spring by decorating our homes for the season. And one easy way to do that is with a handmade wreath. I made this discovery at the beginning of last summer when I loaded up my car with decor for my sister (in-laws) wedding, which also happened to include these L-O-V-E letters! So every time we head up there for a visit I stuff my little carwith boxes & bags of clothes, fall/Christmas decor, & anything else that is seasonal. The amazing part is that Idiscovered my car is like Marry Poppins bag! It seems to have no limit to how big an item I can put in it! I’ve named her Gertrude, Gertie for short. She’s very quiet, keeps to herself, and doesn’t make a mess. All good qualities in a new neighbour. Spread a little festive cheer this year by adding a stylish Christmas wreath to your front door. Nothing will create a more welcoming feel in December, whether you're planning on hosting guests or simply fancy adding a little more magic to your everyday in the run-up to the big day.

Of course, you shouldn't feel limited to only decorating your door, as Christmas wreaths of all sizes can be used around your home – a statement wreath hung above your fireplace can create a stunning focal point, and they make excellent table centrepieces too.

Pussy Willow Wreath Materials:

Once you have them all cut down, divide your pile of pussy willow pieces into four groups, this will help you divide them evenly around the wreath, and not run out or have a lopsided wreath. Each pile should be enough to do a quarter section of your lovely wreath . And I added more pretty pansies because I love fresh flowers. The bunny is the perfect spring accessory and great idea too. This wreath was really an easy project make, and turned out even nicer than I thought it would -love it when that happens. I’d say the skill level to create this low. It’s not difficult, just a little bit fiddly. This easy DIY spring wreath is a great addition to your own front door to great spring guests with the warmest welcome. This wreath will last a long time too, so you can bring it out year after year in the springtime. Around the time I wrote this post about How to Prepare for a Move 6 Months to 1 Year in Advance I received special permission from my mother to start moving things into the empty attic above my childhood bedroom.
