Biomechanically, these shoes are ideal for the classic heel striker. Being a midfoot striker, I did notice during long runs I had a tendency to heel strike in these shoes which I wasn’t too happy about. I was accommodating the shoe more than it was accommodating me.

Normalmente uso 28 cm pero estás de 28,5 me quedan bien. Noto el talón un poco alto de más, como si tuvieran un drop ,de 14 o más. On top, the shoe features a mesh upper with lots of open pores at the forefoot and midfoot, so you’ll get excellent breathability and temperature regulation, even in hot weather. Salomon describes the Aero Volt as a “wild child all-urban runner,” and it’s perfect for sprinters, or anyone looking for a little more pep in their step. Trail running shoes in general need to be more sturdier than their road running counterparts, especially the upper fabric, but also the soles. Running on road, you won't encounter so many different surfaces and most usually you don't have to climb or ascend slippery surfaces either (generalising here a bit).

What the brand precedes, everything perfect. The very soft sole, ideal for its function as a mark in despriction. Not suitable for asphalt. The upper features soft padding around the ankle for a comfy, supportive fit—it helped my feet stay planted within the shoe when negotiating sloped, uneven ground—and the wide toe box has plenty of room for toes to splay. As long as you don’t need a ton of plush cushioning, the Sense Ride 5’s nimble feel, comfortable fit, and all-terrain versatility will take you just about anywhere you want to go. On the inside, you'll find the OrthoLite insoles, or more like inserts, which is a cheap and cheerful solution from Salomon to provide some cushioning within the shoes. Price conscious decisions are understandable when the price is so low, but saying that, the Salomon Alphacross doesn't feel cheap or uncomfortable.

On the plus side, if you like a snug fit, the Sensifit design of the shoe hugs your foot, so you never have to worry about your foot sliding around when your running on the side of a mountain. It’s all about preference here on what you desire in a trail running shoe. Compared to other brands, Salomon is a relative newcomer to the running shoe industry. The French ski outfitter was founded in 1947, but didn’t release its first running shoe, the Raid Race, until 2001. No. Salomon makes its Energy Blade plates from a range of different materials, but doesn’t currently use carbon fiber. Salomon’s current shoes feature plates made with thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU), nylon, and a mix of nylon and glass fiber. Good afternoon. Would this shoe model have a version without goretex? THANK YOU, I WAIT FOR YOUR ANSWER The new Alphacross GTX is a versatile outdoor shoe with a variety of potential applications. Ideal for entry-level off road adventures, light hikes and long days on your feet sightseeing, the super comfy Alphacross offers a superbly cushioned ride.

Salomon Speedcross 4 Review, Facts, Comparison | RunRepeat Salomon Speedcross 4 Review, Facts, Comparison | RunRepeat

I have neither wide, nor narrow feet, yet I developed hot spots and blisters on my toes. Sadly, it still happens from time to time depending on how long I’m running in these shoes. With that being said, I’d rate the toe box of these shoes to be more on the narrow side. I’d love to say that these shoes are comfortable right out of the box, but they required quite a lengthy break-in period for me. The shoes run true to size, but I had to put in about 30-50 miles in these shoes before I felt like they began to become somewhat comfortable. The design of each Energy Blade varies from shoe to shoe, but most of them feature a multi-pronged shape, with the tines pointing toward the front of the shoe. This helps the whole sole flex laterally to conform to uneven terrain, so you feel less wobbly on trails. Right out of the box, I loved the aesthetics of the Speedcross 4 as I was elated to find that the shoes came in neutral blue hues, especially for those who prefer low-key color schemes. Furthermore, Salomon offers a variety of colors to choose from to suit your personal style preferences. The Salomon Alphacross is not a bad looking shoe with its slimmer contour and stitch-free upper fabric. The visible rubber chevrons and the 10 mm heel drop gives them a more aggressive, ready-for-anything look.

J'aime beaucoup ces chaussures. Simple mais efficace, stable en marche, légères. Je n'ai pas encore couru avec. Elles ont une bonne accroche sur sol non stable. First thing I notice when I lift them out the box is the weight. These are a very lightweight shoe. I have the Solomon Speedcross and have these for the past few years. The Alphacross are about half the weight! Being a weight weenie I am liking these shoes even more. Salomon Alphacross 3 is available in different colors for men and women. The upper isn´t waterproof in the model I tested but it is slightly water-resistant. If you want a waterproof shoe, Salomon Alphacross 3 is also available in a GORE-TEX version which you can find here.

One of Salomon’s most popular models, the XA Pro 3D V8 delivers a supportive, stable off-road ride. Weighing in at a hefty 12 ounces in men’s sizes, it’s not a great choice for speedwork, but the somewhat overbuilt design promises excellent durability. It features Salomon’s “3D chassis,” which adds a layer of extra-firm foam to the midsole that cradles and supports your foot to keep it aligned in the shoe as you run. Its probably one of the best trail shoes available in this price range! Even if its a shoe for beginners, I would consider using it myself as it would be very well suited for trail runs where you aren´t going to take part in competitions in the most challenging terrain. The Alphacross’ midsole is relatively thin, so don’t expect a plush ride (a soft interior liner adds some step-in comfort), but the thinner cushioning gives you a good feel for the ground and makes the shoe nimble and responsive. It’s designed to handle a variety of terrain, but works especially well on soft ground. Though trail remains its focus, Salomon’s lineup has expanded to include a wider range of running shoes in recent years. Its roading running designs, like the Aero Volt and Aero Glide, run the gamut from lean, peppy shoes for speed training to more cushioned models for longer runs. Despite the brand's focused reputation, the best Salomon running shoes have something for all kinds of road and trail runners. Best Saloman Running Shoes Very good, they are perfect, I also think they are very cool to be a trail shoe, and the sizing is perfect, they fit like a glove. Thank you so much.

The upper fabric is stitch-free and has a smooth feel, but unfortunately not weatherproof, as one might expect when you look at the Alphacross. On the other hand, it does resist tearing, ripping and abrasion, something that can come handy in a hostile environment that is a forest trail. The lacing is pretty straight forward. In terms of fit, the Alphacross GTX sits on the medium-to-wide end of the spectrum which will enhance its intended broad based appeal. As a result, low volume footed runners with narrow heels are likely to find the Alphacross to slip a little at the rear so be sure to try before you buy. From one of the earliest supporters of Trivelo we bring the Salomon Alphacross Review. Huge thanks to Bryan for his continued support and his wonderful review of these awesome looking trail shoes. The Pulsar Trail Pro 2 isn’t perfect. It’s not very supportive, and the fit at midfoot was a bit too narrow for my liking. Even with those caveats, it’s a very capable trail shoe, especially for runners who want an agile, speedy feel.
