Description

Most purchases from business sellers are protected by the Consumer Contract Regulations 2013 which give you the right to cancel the purchase within 14 days after the day you receive the item. This is no small task as ownership of these brands and recipes resides with the companies that took over the original Huntley and Palmers fourteen years ago. He can't have had any family because it seems he left the recipe to his coachman who set up a bakery business.

One element of the Queen's daily diet that is well-known is that she enjoys a cheeky treat every now and then and has even been described as a "chocoholic". These biscuits are famous - it is said that John Lennon of the Beatles once refused to be paid in cash, preferring Chocolate Olivers instead! According to the tin Chocolate Olivers are a trade mark of Allied Domecq, and made under licence by Huntley and Palmers.Finance is provided by PayPal Credit (a trading name of PayPal UK Ltd, Whittaker House, Whittaker Avenue, Richmond-Upon-Thames, Surrey, United Kingdom, TW9 1EH). Allied Domecq are perhaps better known for brands such as Beefeater Gin, Harveys Bristol Cream, Tia Maria, Malibu and Cockburns Port.

Huntley Palmers version is produced to the same recipe as the original, world famous Chocolate Bath Oliver.

My father in law loves chocolate bath oliver biscuits and I would like to get him some for christmas. To complicate matters the Fortt's 'Wheaten Malt Biscuits' tin, from some time after 1936, also in the Reading Museum Collection, gives the date 1735.
