Hit Somebody (now titled The Plumber) is still something that may come to fruition as an 8 episode series. The best news of the whole thing was when someone asked Kevin about the infamous Prince footage from 22 years ago and he said that the director of OJ Made in America is doing an 8 part doc on Prince and that the footage Kevin shot was so amazing and so unlike anything that exists of Prince that it’s going to be the basis for an entire episode. The new film from Kevin Smith will be available to own on Digital beginning October 14, followed by the Blu-ray and DVD releases on December 6, 2022. Clerks III will be available in the UK on digital from 14th November, and Blu-ray/DVD from 26th December. From the outside looking in, naysayers might consider a third bite at the Clerks apple to be unnecessary.

Apparently Moose Jaws, The 4:30 movie, Mallrats 2, Tusk 2 and Hit Somebody are all still possibilities. Furthermore, as a stand up comedian (something he absolutely is, but not a lot of people refer to him as), he’s one of the absolute best out there. There’s a great documentary on the artist, Chesley Bonestell: A Brush the Future, and you can see the same shot from the film in the doc below, with Mars rendered in the correct orange color. years on from the film which launched Kevin Smiths career and View Askew Universe, we find ourselves coming full circle back to where it all began.The questioning of the 'Abandonment' by God/ Jesus; Dogma, and the conversion of righteous Christian characters to Satanism is humorous, as well as the total egotistical mindset of a director. Whether it works tonally is another matter, but it’s so well done and so effective with astonishingly strong performances and visuals that it makes up for any of the film’s shortcomings. There’s also an extended set of outtakes at the end featuring Michelle Buteau’s character, who is absolutely hilarious and frequently causes the other actors to blow their takes.

I pretty much gave you the trailer, I think in all honesty I avoided spoiling myself on this movie because I wanted to be surprised. Without going into major spoilers, the surprisingly hard-hitting third act is emotionally devastating in a way that Kevin Smith’s films have rarely been (the closest of which would be Chasing Amy).Paramount chose not to employ additional color correction, but instead consulted original IB Technicolor prints and matched the look from there.

Well, let's start with the obvious, this is the most complete, coherent and moving movie that Kevin Smith has made.I thought the movie was supposed to be like the old ones that were more comedy and have better endings. Without giving too much away, you get to revisit scenes and characters from the previous movies all tied up in an enjoyable, funny, emotional final outing. The scene that has been referenced as being more blue than red was taken from the original three-strip Technicolor negative. As each film in the Viewaskewniverse has been released, it’s clear that he’s channeling where he’s at in his life through his characters. After a comment made by Dante in the midst of reminiscing Randal decided to make a movie, since he thinks himself an expert on the movies.
