The infamously nightmarish world created by Clive Barker is one of those movies that I’ve seen so many times but never on the big screen. However upon watching all four and on comparing back to the previous releases in The Scarlet Box, its apparent that these new restorations improve over their previous ones significantly in every way. Scarlet Box version, since that provides the chance to compare screenshots and see how supplements stack up between the releases. an 80 minute appreciation of Hellbound, by George Daniel Lea and Kit Power are equally disjointed, but at least they’re in the same room!

Hellraiser has always been famed for its gruesome and grotesque special effects and 3 is no exception. In Books of Blood and Beyond: The Literary Works of Clive Barker, horror author David Gatwalk takes an extended look at the major themes throughout Barker's horror works. track on Hellraiser III… this time around brings some needed sonic bombast to the film's explosively silly final act.Don’t miss this chance to see Hellraiser, described by Empire as “genuinely disturbing”, on the big screen in a 4K restoration from the original camera negatives, in all its gory and gleefully disturbing glory. No nasties were noted resulting from a less than stellar encode and it looks to be another bang-up job of getting the film onto the disc and retaining as much of the good work of the underlying restoration, which also seems to have completely eradicated that low-level judder than could be seen across the films on the previous release, as possible.
