Overall Iris Cèdre is a winner for me, a beautiful clean and alluring fragrance with a hell lot of personality. It is closer to Infusion d'Iris than Infusion d'Homme, and slightly more feminine than the latter while still being unisex enough for any man to wear. It is a good cross between both two fragrances in my opinion. The rich, balmy base is clean, very smooth, resinous and imparts a vibrance that is warm and welcoming in contrast to the cool opening accords. It also brings a gentle, yet firm anchor to Absolue, replacing the weightless citrus, woods and incense in the original EDP. This lasts for a good four or five hours. After that the scent is more tolerable, even pretty, but I just can't tough out the long middle part of the dry down.

Not that they smell the same, nor do they share the same notes or anything like that, but this scent shares the same mood as Versence and, to a lesser extent, Kenzo's L'Eau Peau (I think that's what it's called). One hour in, the green notes subside and make space for a full powder brush scent. It's smooth and cool and well-balanced, without any sweetness. Present, but never in-your-face. At this stage, I mostly got iris and incense. The bottle... gorgeous, gold, stately dresser jewelry. The scent, luxurious and balmy and quite different from the original EDP and not a concentrate as one might assume.Iris cedre is clean, in a powder way rather than a soapy way. It starts with a sharp citrus and Iris, followed by a slightly metallic note that lingers for quite a while but i found that after a few hours the drydown is basically identical to the original, a powdery incense finish. The bottle has a solid, vintage and simple design. Nothing spectacular, still it is classy and elegant. The cap is well secured so this is a bonus if you travel a lot and take the bottle with you. Peony, Freesia, and Jasmine are the core heart notes. However, the floral accents are subdued and not overwhelming. The freesia only briefly inserts its delicate petals into the composition before becoming extremely prominent. Don't get me wrong, I can DO composed if the need arises. I can allow myself to seamlessly converse in cut glass tones of received pronunciation and communicate confidently, with the erudition of someone educated far beyond my own high school level, when the situation caalls for it. Sometimes we all need to be able to radiate a more elegant and sophisticated persona. Is it acting? Sure, but no more than most of the performative gestures we embody in the various roles we play throughout our lives. I used infusión d'homme as my signature fragance for some years. This was discontinued but this one is very very similar, quite the same. Iris and cedsr wood with neroli, Resines, incense and tangerine. This is the new infusión d'homme.

Infusion d'Iris opens with a soft orange accord, more blossom than zest. The powdery iris is present from the start, adding a beautiful, soft undertone that defines this scent throughout. Galbanum adds a hint of hazy greenness, which always marries well with iris. Infusion d'Iris EDP Absolue is aloof, yet contemplative with a graceful and dignified character. The perfume opens with clean, soapy, lush blossoms that make way for a cool, waxy iris with an empyrean air. Neroli brings a natural aldehyde-like quality and classiness to the fragrance. is this even more powdery than the usual edp ? possibly , i love powder so this is a richer powder with a cold leathery iris yet the tonka warms and so do the resins.About 5 to 8 minutes in, cedar and galbanum take over: arid, bitter, galbanum will make you thirsty, and I can even taste the wood chips of cedar in the tip of my tongue. This takes a while, so you better be patient when spraying... And drink a glass of water while you're at it, it's good for you anyway. For many years I have enjoyed wearing Infusion de Vetiver, which started out as a masculine flanker, before being re-released in 2015 as a unisex fragrance, although the composition had barely been altered. The feminine offerings from this Infusion line have not appealed to me in the slightest, and have been boring for the most part. I am pleased that the richer, more masculine offerings centred around wood notes have kept me entertained. This fragrance seems to make me imagine being in a beautiful old house in the country, going outside on a crisp chilly morning and smelling the frosty dew on the grass. Its a cold scent..and serious, almost too serious. But it has a certain uniqueness to it that i just cant help but fall in love with. I wrote in my first review about a year ago that i bought a bottle of this in hopes it would satisfy my longing for the original infusion d iris edp, which at the time was hard to find and unbelievably pricey here in Oz, but since i was wanting the fresh soapy qualities of the origional, I found it was too dry, powdery and strong for me so i gave it to my mum.

Original review: I can barely smell it! Even with 3-4 sprays on my wrist, it's like it's not even there. I bring my nose to my wrist and almost nothing. This morning I pretty much drowned in it, sprayed numerous times on my clothes and arms, and all I can feel is 'something' powdery and dry. Clean. But again barely there! Those that are going somewhere where perfume may be inappropriate: funeral, surgery, long distance travels. Expensive fragrances are tempting, and everyone wants to get a hold of one, but they are a burden if you are on a tight budget. It would be Prada Infusion d'homme. It was my 3rd fragrace I sniff that I fall in love after (YSL L'homme and Bvlgari Soir). The end notes come with sandalwood, amber, and musk that blend all the ingredients perfectly, giving a finished look. This Elizabeth Taylor perfume has hypnotic qualities further enhanced by the slightly bitter spice tones that blend with the sandal and floral notes. As time goes on, the fragrance warms up, and the delicate spicy base notes become more prominent. This perfume is classic and elegant but behind that there is much more. It is a deep perfume, which I identify with meditation. With the connection with the earth and the universe, a mystical perfume, which makes me think of someone who meditates in the mornings, who loves nature and calmness. Someone who loves crystals and knows the meaning of each one. It is a perfume for those who feel peace inside, and when you spray it on you is what makes you feel. The post 2015 reformulation does have the cedar and iris, but is sweeter, less smokey and more fruity than woody. Personally I find the shape-shifting part of it mostly gone. It takes off sharply, almost pungent. Rather synthetic I might say, almost like strong detergent. Admittedly, I do not fancy the opening too much. However, it mellows down instantaneously, into a gorgeous cloud of herbs, flowers and vanilla. The flowers and herbs are more fresh than sweet, which is to my preference. I do not appreciate scents that are too sweet. My favourite part is the dry down, absolutely warm and tender on my skin.

Perfect for every day, work, even healthcare workers. This is something I wear when I go to the dentist, he is too nice to complain. They offer excellent longevity and sillage. These dupes thus will do the job. The perfume will not run out as it stays on your skin for a good time while flaunting your shine and elegance as you captivate the people around you. Get Noticed by Wearing Prada Infusion d'Iris Clone Perfumes It is a beautiful balanced scent, that will smell really nice in every weather I think, as I first tried it in really hot Mediterranean weather, and I am wearing it now in chillier rainy automnal weather. It projects nicely and softly, in an arms lenth, and you can smell it throughout its wear. Its sillage is pretty good do, it last for at least 8 hours! The fragrance is discrete and intimate, and good longevity makes your day much brighter and fresher. It functions nicely on a reasonably warm spring or summer day. Overall, the aroma is lovely and gives an ultra-luxurious feeling. I have spritzed this time and time again but always disappointed. It's far too powdery for my taste, veering towards the old lady type, when it was fashionable to dust on fragranced talcum body powders on warm bodies after a bath.To me, Infusion D'iris radiates an upper-middle-class air that lends you a calm confidence which is beautiful to bask in. I would love to put this fragrance on for an evening at the opera house or for a classical concert. This clean, cash predominant up-close scent remains for a long time, at least 3 to 4 hours. During that time, the iris and musk continue to develop, its billowing wafts get longer and stronger... Until you are enveloped in a GORGEOUS iris bubble. Coming from a beginner: This isn't woody, but there's definitely a smell of herbs, or roots. A camphorous smell. The iris has the center stage, and on my skin I do not smell much citrus in the opening. The note pyramid mostly tells you all you need to know, since they pulled half the notes out. The former mandarin/orange topnotes are gone, and boy do I miss them a lot. Id’I is one of my favorite perfumes, and though the orange topnotes last only a minute or two, when I first apply the perfume, it just lets me happily anticipate what’s coming, like, “Yeah, this is ON!!” If you know what I mean.
