I hope that you found something in this review that has been useful to your camera purchase decision. You’ll get fabulous pictures, an attractively styled body, access to a good range of lenses and a slew of useful specs. Many of today’s cameras have a 4K video output, but X-T30 II uniquely shoots footage oversampled from an original 6K signal.

You can't hit MENU again to get out of the menus to shoot, press the shutter or hit the BACK (not MENU) button. Fast-forward to 2022, and the X-T30 II represents only a modest upgrade; although considering that the original camera was so good, that’s perhaps no surprise. Stretch it even further and you’re in X-T4 territory, which additionally gives you 4K at 60p, full weather sealing, and an extra card slot. to 4 seconds (P mode), to 30 seconds (A mode), to 15 minutes (S or M modes) or to one hour in Bulb mode. There’s just one memory card slot, which is to be expected on a mid-range camera like the Fujifilm X-T30 II.Fujifilm has taken the standard in-camera filters such as black and white, neutral and vivid, and upped the ante.

X-Trans" sensor with a unique better-than-Bayer color filter array allows for sharper pictures than other 26MP sensors, but not all raw software can read the special files. Fujifilm added some very requested features such as the joystick knob, and did a massive upgrade to the interior of the camera.Interestingly, if you’re using the electronic shutter, there’s also a ‘Pre-shot’ burst mode, which records images so long as you keep the shutter button half-pressed, saving those captured up to a second before you fully press the shutter, and hopefully ensuring that the moment is successfully captured. On X-Trans III cameras, such as the X100F, X-Pro2 and X-T20, all of which I have used, I felt that +2 was the highest Sharpness setting that one should use, and even at +2 there were occasionally artifacts and weird side-effects of over sharpening. If you’re someone who just likes to take the odd wildlife shot, or photograph kids and pets, it’s likely better than you need. There's a real cost to operating and maintaining this site, not to mention all the time that I pour into it. It's incredibly easy to add these filters to your photos, simply find it in playback mode, press the 'Q', select 'Film Simulation' and apply your desired filter.
