For the week that ended on December 31st, Universal Pictures Home Entertainment's Halloween Ends finally took the top spot on the Blu-ray-only chart from Paramount Home Media Distribution's Top Gun: Maverick, ending the sequel's eight weeks in a row on top of that .Everything here is a one watch/listen and is barely worth that, given the sense of strange over-importance everyone involved seems to be granting this film. In that same way, Halloween Ends as a whole feels like one heck of a narrative curveball right before the curtain closes on the franchise as we’ve known it up to this point (well, this time anyway).
