Description

Set between 1813 and 1827, the Bridgerton Series is a collection of eight novels, each featuring one of the eight children of the late Viscount Bridgerton: Anthony, Benedict, Colin, Daphne, Eloise, Francesca, Gregory, and Hyacinth. I didn’t originally set out to write an eight-book series; at first it was just going to be a trilogy! But readers really took to the Bridgertons (and to the mysterious Lady Whistledown, whose gossip columns “narrated” the first four books), and I found myself rather enamored with the family, too. There’s no escaping the beach in Brighton and its twin Hove. Stretching for miles along the front of the city, the pebbly beach is the perfect place for a family day out. Leave your car in one of the city’s NCP car parks and you won’t have far to carry all those beach essentials. Enjoy easy and convenient access to major venues like the Theatre Royal and Brighton Centre, the Lanes and Churchill Square Shopping Centre. People ranked The Viscount Who Loved Me, a perennial fan favorite, as the best book of the Bridgerton series for its enemies-to-lovers trope "full of banter and chemistry" with character development for the central couple, "both as a pair and on their own." [6] The Bridgertons: Happily Ever After was published in 2013, and is sometimes numbered as the 9th book in the series. It consists of "2nd Epilogues" for each of the 8 novels in the main Bridgerton series, together with a short story about Violet Bridgerton herself.

Speaking of core team I cannot really talk about the festival without spending a too short moment thanking the amazing 10 women who make the book festival possible. It really does take so much work to make this happen and I know that despite all the laughter we have had over this last 9 months there has also been a lot of late nights and long days to make it all come together. Not to mention those 5 days in June being the longest five days ever. Westenfeld, Adrienne (March 25, 2022). "The Men Who Read and Watch 'Bridgerton' Are Onto Something". Esquire . The Rights of Man pub named after the seminal work by local author and political theorist Thomas Paine is certainly one that should be on your radar. I loved last year, and I think that the core team were faced with a tough task of making this year better. But we have had some help. A recent addition to the Brighton bookshop scene, opeing in 2019 thanks to a sucessful crowdfunding campaign meant the owner Ruth could convert her living room into what is now The Feminist Bookshop. All being well, we will be meeting as usual upstairs at **Temple Bar** near Waitrose on Western Road (please note change of venue!!). With the south-coastal city of Brighton being a hub of UK art and culture, as well as a loudly and proudly queer city, it’s no wonder that so many independent bookshops can be found in the wonderful city of Brighton. Afrori Books& The Feminist Bookshophave teamed up to create an exciting new community book festival aimed at making the marginalised mainstream.
