It was hard to read at times for how broken the main character, Sophia was. But also Kyle's character, who was just a coward. He could saved all the heartbreak by being truthful to Sophia to begin with. Josh's character was pretty good. Again I just felt like the story was rushed. Sophia never saw herself falling in love and she certainly didn't see herself falling in love with the golden boy at her high school. But it happened and before she knew it, she was pulled into his world.The story only focus on our MCs for a moment and it never got past that point, almost like a tease. It had a good plot, great characters and a whole lot of drama. With editing aside, I think my main issue with this novel was that it was long drawn out. We had the same jealous and ridiculously annoying situations between our F MC and her ex-boyfriend. They spend so much time on this plot line and how he didn’t want to break up with her over and over again. I get that it's about high school aged people, so maybe high school aged people would relate better but holy drama, Batman. I was VERY dramatic after being dumped (and cheated on) by my first boyfriend in high school. But even I wasn't sitting there going on and on about how worthless I am and nobody should want me. If I were her friend in any capacity, I'd probably slap her on a regular basis.
