Description

The Korg B2 is an entry-level digital piano that has all the standard connections you expect for a beginner’s digital piano.

a) to Korg at its own expense using all reasonable endeavours to rectify any non-conformance with the warranty by repair (by way of a patch, work around, correction or otherwise) within a reasonable period of time or, Korg reserves the right to make modifications to the Licensed Program and to the support services set out in clause 7 of this agreement (referred to in this agreement as “the Services”) without prior notification to you. Korg lists the B2 as having a maximum 120 voices of polyphony, in line with the other competitors in this price range. The newly minted Korg B2N is all new, designed with the goal of creating a lightweight portable digital piano. The problem is that it still requires an AC adapter and power supply. Support for batteries would have been welcome and is a missed opportunity. Nice feature in PX-160: if you are learning some demo song from the piano internal bank, you can turn off left or right hand of the performance and play it yourself – very useful while studying.

The sounds and their effects on the Korg B2 piano are limited, where the players get only eight voices. But the actual sounds in this piano are highly detailed. The piano makes use of the PCM sampling technology which is the basic form of the sound sapling and harmonic imaging in this piano. Korg B2 makes use of multiple samples to achieve great effects. by multisampling, we learn that every note that the players play is capable of triggering up to three samples at the same time simultaneously. Master tuning: The tuning of the piano at the middle point can be modified with the default setting of 440 Hz.In the event that there is any physical defect in the disk (storage device, etc.) on which the Licensed Program is supplied, Korg will exchange the defective disk with a non-defective disk of the same model at no charge, provided that you have notified Korg of the existence of such defect within 28 days from the date you have received the disk, and provided that Korg shall never be held liable to replace the disk or data in the event that the defect is attributed to accident, abuse, misuse or other such causes outside of Korg’s control. Effects: There is also a reverb and chorus effect in this piano and these presets are tweaked with optimal piano settings. Unsurprisingly, the B2 is Korg's sequel to the relatively popular B1 digital piano, and like its precursor, this piano is designed to be one of the best digital pianos for beginners. The B2 sits alongside two variants, the B2SP, which comes with a stylish stand and a three-pedal unit and the B2N, which opts for a lighter keyboard and different speaker set. Sounds were a mixed bag on the B1. While you only get 8 voices, the actual sounds were highly detailed. Accompanying sounds: The accompanying organs and electric piano sounds are great, but have limited malleability features. Its strings are passable and can be used for layering with other piano sounds.

Korg provides no warranty in relation to any Third Party Software supplied and all warranties whether express or implied as to the condition, quality, performance, merchantability or fitness for purpose of the Third Party Software or any part of the same are (in so far as may be permitted by law) hereby excluded. This benefits more than beginners. While using the app, you can choose immediately which level to start from, whether beginner, intermediate, or advanced. The Italian Concert, Jazz, and Ballad piano sounds (the best of the bunch in my opinion) have only 40 notes of polyphony, whereas everything else has 60.What they have replicated quite well is the sound of an acoustic. The Korg B2 comes with 12 built in sounds and voices, four of which are acoustic piano sounds. The German Concert Piano sound is very grand, perfect for a jazz player like me. I love my extended chords and low bass lines, and this sound accommodates that perfectly. I also love the Ballad Piano sound. It’s a lot softer than the German Concert Piano but also adds a lot of warmth to your playing. I’m not too keen on the Italian Concert Piano sound. Personally, its a little bit too tinny and harsh. I like my piano sound to be a little softer. I’ll be honest and tell you that I did notice a difference between the feel of this Korg and my old acoustic at home when I tried them out in the store. The Korg keys don’t quite have the same amount of authenticity. However, that’s what I expected. I don’t think a digital will ever perfectly replicate the feel of an acoustic. Sure, some makers will get close, and Korg have come pretty close with this B2 model. It’s clear they’ve spent a good portion of their development time on trying to replicate the experience of playing a real piano and I applaud them for that. 12 sounds – a mixture of good… and a a couple of not so good And also, what makes this model looks great is that it has software for you to learn how to play the piano like the Scoove and Korg Module. The NT action on the B2N attempts to do the same, but with less than spectacular results. These keys feel too light for my tastes, and dynamics are a lot harder to control.
