This book is sensational. I'm lost with words! This book teaches us about friendship and rela life situations in that we can refelct upon them. It's a heartbreaking story and urges the reader to carron on reading. Butterfly Summer is truely the best book I have ever read, full of magical characters and places. At university I read Classical Studies, which is a great way of finding out that the world doesn't change much and people make the same mistakes but it's interesting to look at why. I was at Bristol, and i loved the city, making new friends, being a new person. I received a copy of The Butterfly Summer from Hachette New Zealand to review. I can’t remember why this stood out to me but I’m glad it did.

Plenty of characters telling different parts of a family history with a little twist as to how the family home was to be passed on. I liked that there were a lot of unforeseen moments and twists in the story. It was interesting to get to know all these different generations of Parr women and I really liked the inheritance fact of the story. And do you know what the Ancient Greeks used to believe? That butterflies represent the souls of the dead." Essentially a story about the secrets (many of them hardly secrets at all) and obligations that, generation after generation, bind together the women of the Parr family. I'm afraid, especially in its earlier chapters, the characters from the differing eras yet to be established, I found the book confusing, the various strands to the plot unnecessarily convoluted which sadly meant instead of focusing on the story I found myself concentrating overly hard on just where (if anywhere) it was going. Kessler combines a chatty tween novel with a serious dose of 'what if' in which a disused lift transports Jenni between the present and future years.

The marbled white butterfly, with an almost ‘stained glass’ effect on its wings | Christopher Martyn / Unsplash Painted lady Harriet Evans really “brings you home” with this book. The writing is full of emotions, depth and mystery. I loved how vividly Harriet described all the places, unfortunately I didn’t feel the same with the story. It was quite clear in the end, but the way to get there was complicated and stony. The idea behind it all is fab and I wish I was more gripped, but something was missing for me. I think clearer connections and a flowing storyline would have helped for me. I guess that could be quite different for other readers, but that’s how I felt. It's good, but I don't know weather I like it or not. I guess it gave me nightmares. It made me scared but I don't know if that's good or bad!!! I'm really confused...

Grasslands, Parks and Fields

The best book I've read and i'm nt exxagarating. It's intriguing from the very beggining, I couldn't and literally couldn't, put down the book until I'd read all of it. It made me question, what's going to happen next? I thank my primary friend, Molly who reccomended me this book. If ur reading Molly, thx and I luv u for telling me to read this!!!!!!!!:DDD Like most enthusiasts, I’ve been dismayed by the relative absence of buddleia butterflies in the 21st century compared with the gatherings in the 1980s. I’ve only got seven summers of data for the 21 buddleias in my current Norfolk garden (all from cuttings – you don’t ever need to buy a buddleia) and 2019 was decent but this year, despite grotty weather, is the best. I think it is a great book and everyone who likes to feel what is going to happen next, this book is for you, thank you for reading.

The Butterfly Summer by Harriet Evans | Goodreads

Research by scientists at Butterfly Conservation confirms that the long-term population trend of some of our most charismatic insects is indeed downward, with more than three-quarters of the UK’s butterflies and two-thirds of larger moths in decline. A good start I like it its a great book cant wait to finish it and read more of it people should chose this book it great book So, to sum up, some of Britain’s butterflies are enjoying the benefits of hotter-than-average summers – at least in the short term – while, as with all our wild creatures, they face an uncertain future in a rapidly changing world.

Hedgerows and Woodland-Edge

There were so many disturbing things that happened in the Parr history. I don’t understand how Keepsake affected the Parr women or what some of them did there. I especially don’t understand why they would willingly do that to themselves.. That I wish the ending of the book was longer or that more actually happened in the ending, rather than just being hinted at. Although fluidly written, this book is not an easy read. At all times I had the impression of getting tangled in the scattered thoughts of the author, caught up in millions of tiny string thoughts inside a room full with more. Did I want to be there? No. It was mesmerizing I just couldn't stop reading once I started I loved the way it was happy then got sadder IT WAS AN AMAZING MUST READ IT IF NOT ALREADY! Grasslands are an incredibly valuable habitat for many of the UK’s moths and butterflies. Semi-natural grassland, pasture, arable land, urban parkland and any areas with rough unmanaged grass will all support a variety of butterfly species. In the height of summer these areas can be teeming with Skippers, Common Blues, Ringlets and Meadow Browns. Be sure to inspect any flowering plants (particularly thistles and knapweeds) as these can act as vital nectaring points for many butterflies. Pay close attention for the fast and subtle movements of smaller species as these can often disappear against such a busy environment. A prime example of this is the Small Copper which is notoriously hard to spot due to its minute size, fast flight and discrete colouration (when its wings are closed). LOOK OUT FOR:

Butterflies may appear to be booming in the short-term but some species’ life cycles risk falling out of sync with the plants that their caterpillars depend upon for food. Honestly just a beautiful book, exciting and suspenseful - quite an interesting read. Great story line and it's written perfectly. Secrets and mysteries in this HAUNTING novel !It’s a beautiful book that moved me emotionally and literally couldn't put the book down. The concept of and the structure of the story is well thought 10/10. This butterfly has spread northwards in recent decades to colonise East Anglia, the Midlands and almost all of northern England in response to climate change. Foodplants Have you ever read a book by Anne-Marie Conway? If you haven’t I would defiantly recommend it. I read ‘Butterfly Summer’ and I thought it was really good. It was a good book for me as it had a lot of suspense and mystery in it and I really like books like that. The story line is very intriguing and the ending is not what I would have guessed. I found the beginning not as exciting as the middle or end but you have to read the beginning otherwise the story wouldn’t ma... i love this book this is the book that got me into reading so much, Anne-Marie Conway is an exellent writer and i want to by Forbbiden Friend SO MUCH!!!!!!!
