I'm not hating on this product, but this almost sounds like K built an accessory for a product that has limited use in a work environment. Macro is a full-frame L-mount lens that's designed to be a medium telephoto, portrait and macro lens all-in-one. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others.

You’d have to be really into the iPad-as-work-machine lifestyle for this to make sense for you, but the StudioDock and iPad Pro combination is a fast, fun computer that does most of what I want it to.As I described in our original news coverage of the device, the StudioDock effectively turns your iPad into an iMac-like workstation, complete with built-in chargers for your phone, wireless headphones and other Qi-enabled devices.

Please refer to the terms and conditions for the manufacturer's warranty or contact the manufacturer. The new 11-inch iPad Pro should be unaffected, because its dimensions are the same as last year’s model. There are a lot of iPad keyboard cases out there that aim to turn Apple’s tablet into a laptop, but the Kensington StudioDock is something altogether different: it turns your iPad Pro into the world’s tiniest iMac. The StudioDock uses a rotatable magnetic mounting plate to secure the iPad when it’s plugged in over USB-C, expanding its connectivity with extra USB-A, ethernet, and HDMI ports. Wireless charging: 2 x Qi wireless charging (iPhone 8 or later, AirPods/Airpods Pro), option Apple Watch Charging module.

I say this as someone who has consistently captured and offloaded thousands of (Raw) images over the course of a weekend (shooting motorsports), I can assure you there are workflows where wires are indeed a requirement. It could certainly be used as a replacement desktop setup thanks to Apple’s millions of apps optimized for iPadOS, and keyboard and mouse support, along with the StudioDock’s USB-A/USB-C ports and SD card reader.

The iPad slots into a magnetic-backed cradle and plugs into a USB-C port (it's not an instant snap-in), From there, the iPad just hangs out on its stand like a monitor. I also couldn't get the audio to work when plugged into my monitor, even when I plugged in my headphones, which was a bit irritating. First of all, you'll need a USB-C equipped iPad: the iPad Pro ( 2018 or later) or 2020 iPad Air to enjoy it.

The Sony a9 III is the world's first full-frame mirrorless camera to feature a global electronic shutter with simultaneous readout. The StudioDock hugs onto an attached iPad using the mounting plate, which works alongside the magnets inside the iPad, as well as the physical USB-C port on the iPad, to keep the device in place. However, it is an expensive piece of kit and whether or not it'll be right for you will largely depend on what you're going to use it for. I think Apple completely missed the mark with its new iMac release as it should have looked something like the Microsoft Surface Desktop.
