Description

Many Spanish students have pointed out that the digital version contains some spelling mistakes that can confuse you. You can also find some formatting and design issues that can make your learning experience less pleasant. Unlike other books, it doesn’t contain listening exercises or conversation assignments. So if you really want to improve your Spanish, you’ll need to apply your knowledge in a real-life conversation. Without a question, Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish should be a must in every Spanish beginner library. What I didn’t like: I wish it had more reading. I wish it were structured more like Lingua Latina . But, you can’t have it all, as they say.

Would I read it again? I have already incorporated it into my live Spanish classes. I will be reading it again and again. It hasn’t been updated, as a result, you may find vocabulary or situations that are no longer applicable. The point is, you do not need to know the name and function of each and every car part to drive a car. You only need to know some basics. And, you need to know how to drive a car. Anyone can read, write, and speak Spanish in only a few short weeks with this unique and proven method, which completely eliminates rote memorization and boring drills." Margarita Madrigal (Author)The explanations from this book are easy to understand and simple to understand. In general, all the information provided in this book should be enough for you to learn the concepts presented. As I mentioned before, this Spanish textbook is written in English. But the Spanish vocabulary and examples are presented in standard Spanish that you can use in different countries. After the first eight chapters the book continues using these translation techniques while focusing on dialogues, verb tenses, asking questions in different tenses, giving commands and a number of basic grammar structures. After every 10 chapters the student will come across a comprehension test going over everything that was presented in the previous chapters. This helps the student review the material one final time and test out the knowledge they acquired. Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish is a great way to begin learning Spanish. The only thing that would make this book complete would be if it had some listening exercises to help students practice all four language skills. Despite this particular weak point, the book’s teaching method and “language shortcuts” are a creative and innovative way to learn the basics of Spanish. I don’t feel that way now. I am planning to read it again. I am also planning to incorporate it into any Spanish classes I teach. That being true, I imagine I will read it again and again and again.

Would I recommend it? Without hesitation. If you are learning Spanish, learn the grammar from Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish. Once you have learned the required information, you’ll have examples so you can actually see how these concepts are applied. Then, there will be some exercises that you need to complete to reinforce what you just learned. It’s fair to say that the author is from Costa Rica. As a result, some of the vocabulary and expressions may have a small influence of Latin American Spanish. Additionally, it only teaches you the grammar and vocabulary that you need to know to communicate with other Spanish speakers. So, unlike other Spanish textbooks, this book doesn’t contain any fluff. There is something else I love about this book. The author spends her time teaching you the grammar you are actually going to use. I listen to Spanish radio a lot. Especially during election season. Not listening to American news during an election season is one of the wisest things an American can do, but, enough about that. After reviewing and comparing this book with other Spanish textbooks for beginners here are some pros and cons. Years ago, I was ready to give up on Latin. I had read all the grammar-based approaches to the language. I felt I was no closer to mastering Latin. Every book just repeated the same old worn-out grammar-based approach. I felt like the authors were all repeating themselves. They would add their own favorite pictures of Rome, and another Latin grammar book was born! You can find Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish in a printed or digital version. Although it’s up to your personal preference, I recommend you to get the printed version. That way you can use the book as a workbook and be able to write your answers right there.

Like many other books, Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish applies these concepts to real-life situations. However, since the book has never been updated, some of the examples may no longer be applicable to our context. But you can still find a way to adapt them to your needs. I have not been very excited about a Spanish book for a long time. Perhaps not ever. I just have not been able to find what I have been looking for. Language Trainers USA & Canada Blog | Language Trainers UK & Ireland Blog | Language Trainers Australia & New Zealand Blog This book does not have any listening exercises and it offers very few cultural notes, as many Spanish course books usually tend to provide. The book is simply a straight forward grammar book with several “short cuts” to learning some of the most important Spanish grammar points. This book is specifically aimed at the independent learner and there is no need to rely on a teacher or tutor since every chapter is extremely detailed and a number of examples are provided. Unlike other textbooks, Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish doesn’t jump into teaching right away greetings and simple expressions to introduce yourself. Instead, she starts by showing you some identical Spanish and English words. The purpose of this is to prove to you that you already know some Spanish.Since the goal of this textbook is to help learn Spanish in a fast way, all of these topics include an explanation of the elements or concepts you may need as well as different activities to reinforce your knowledge. Overall, this textbook keeps its promise and provides Spanish learners with tools and patterns so they can learn Spanish in a fast way. Compared to other books, it contains amazing vocabulary techniques that will increase people’s confidence and comprehension skills.

This Spanish textbook for beginners contains 45 lessons where you can find examples, activities and explanations related to grammar, vocabulary and pronunciation. Additionally, after the last lesson, the book contains a section with common expressions and vocabulary that you learned. Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish treats Spanish the way we treat cars. I am sure there are grammatical points the author left out. That’s fine. You don’t need to know each and every grammar point to speak a language. In fact, after studying Latin for over 20 years, I would be willing to bet that memorizing each and every grammar point actually slows you down and KEEPS you from speaking the language.

According to the author, knowing these tenses first will allow you to have richer and more natural conversations. And if you think about it, it’s true: most of our conversations are directed to talk about the things you did or the things you want to do. Margarita Madrigal has done the same thing in Madrigal’s Magic Key to Spanish. She has explained Spanish grammar using the most simple explanations I have ever encountered in a Spanish book. If her book included a novel, I’d be just as excited about it. Even though I love this book, it still has some small quirks that I’ll discuss in this review. Learning Goals & Objectives
