Easter Eggs and chocolates that are dairy free I have labelled DAIRY FREE at the beginning of their caption. I will also place these all into a separate post to make it more clear too. I’m very specific in this post when I reference which eggs are gluten-free and safe to eat. So please don’t assume that, just because you’ve seen one egg from a particular brand in this post, that every egg by the same brand is also gluten-free.

There’s a Cadbury’s Caramel Egg in this post that’s gluten-free. BUT other Cadbury’s Dairy Milk Caramel eggs (which come with a bar and have the extra text ‘Dairy Milk’ on the front) are NOT gluten-free. Have you found any other gluten free Easter eggs or noticed any changes to this list since it was published? Most plain chocolate eggs are free from gluten but sadly some have 'may contain' warnings which mean they are not coeliac-safe.

There’s a small Milkybar Easter egg in this post that’s gluten-free. However, many other Milkybar eggs in other sizes are often NOT gluten-free. Generally, most of these eggs are found in the seasonal aisle of supermarkets, but you will often find the gluten-free and dairy-free eggs down the free from aisle. x Cadbury Creme Egg Easter Egg 235g. As usual, M&S remains the place where you’ll find the most unique Easter eggs that can’t be found anywhere else!

Also, Easter eggs sometimes feature other bits and bobs such as biscuit or wafer pieces which will contain gluten. I've broken this blog post into two sections for ease: Gluten Free Easter Eggsand Gluten and Dairy Free Easter Eggs. As I mentioned, most of these are down the seasonal Easter aisle so it can be a literal Easter egg hunt to find the right ones. So make sure you allow yourself enough time to make sure you’ve got the ones pictured which are safe for us to eat. If you're not avoiding dairy, many 'normal' Easter eggs are free from gluten-containing ingredients anyway. I was pleasantly surprised with the gluten free easter egg options in Lidl. They actually had quite a lot in comparison to Aldi.I've swept the supermarket shelves of Asda, Co-Op, Morrisons, Sainsbury's, Tesco and Waitrose to find all the Easter eggs which are gluten free. This list is by no means exhaustive but contains most of the major supermarket and named brands I could find on the shelves.

All of the Easter Eggs in this section of guide, at the time of writing, are gluten free, dairy free and safe for people with coeliac disease. As always Asda has a good selection of Easter options this year. They have lots of variety in terms of branded Easter Eggs and equally their free from range is definitely one of the better ones. Recipes can change and vary at the drop of a hat so you should always be on the safe side when trying to find ones that are gluten free. Ocado always has a good selection of Easter eggs, many of which are gluten free. One Hollow Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate egg, One Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Fruit & Nut Bar 49g, One Cadbury Dairy Milk Chocolate Whole Nut Bar 45g. Beware of some of the vegan eggs that contain gluten free oat milk. Whilst you might see gluten free oat milk and think they are safe, they in fact are actually ‘may contain gluten’ so are still unsafe.

Morrisons had a good selection of branded Easter eggs but disappointingly most of their own brand Easter eggs this year are may contain or contain gluten. Important note: In 2022 the Mini Eggs Bar was gluten free, but now (2023) it has a 'may contain' warning and is NOT suitable for people with coeliac disease)
