Description

A magical adventure, steeped in Arthurian legend, Fablehouse uncovers mythology never told and makes heroes of children who are often on the outskirts of society. Gemma isn't even a licensed therapist to be handling all of his emotional damage. I can't with this. I just can't. “I wasn’t enough. I would never be enough to fix this man. He would drown. And I would drown with him.” Fablehouse’ draws on the legends of King Arthur, folklore and history to create a captivating read. I finished it in one sitting, unwilling to leave the fiercely loyal, brave band of children on their quest. The inclusion of Palamedes may well introduce readers to a new thread of the Arthurian legends which are not a widely known as the stories including Lancelot, Gawain, Galahad or Tristan.

I created the roamers special powers by considering their natural abilities and personalities and then imagined how that might look if they were taken to the extreme. I’m naturally empathetic and also really curious. I’m not sure how those qualities might develop… perhaps the empathy would lead to mind-reading? Or shape-shifting? As for a weapon of choice… I was always quite fond of Wonder Woman’s lasso, so maybe something like that? When you give him a book you will trigger a cutscene that is based on the content found in that book. There are good books and bad books, and you will find the most in a category based on your character’s alignment. Fablehouse was a two-book deal. Right now I’m enjoying editing the second book which opens a couple of months after the end of book one.

Her Father left her with nothing but these parting words: You're not cut out for this life. Those words continue to haunt her. This left off on such a great cliffhanger; the perfect set-up for Namesake. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who enjoys an adventure on the high seas! My mission is to ensure that people do see you and your true glory and the unique talents you each have. To celeb rate and delight in all which makes us different.’ A powerful and important book, bursting with hope and wonder. Fablehouse is a glorious celebration of friendship ' - Tola Okogwu, author of Onyeka and the Academy of the Sun Explaining how her own life experience growing up has shaped this story, she said: “My mum is white and Jewish and I don’t know my dad, I’ve never known my dad.

Fable was such a neat main character and I loved watching the world through her eyes. She had such an unique outlook and life. The story itself was riveting in some ways, but there were a few reasons I dropped this down to 3 stars. Here’s the good and the bad….. EMMA NORRY wants all children, but especially those from the care system to ‘feel seen’ with her latest book, Fablehouse. And YET, I am still rating this a 4-star read. Honestly, I am Pepper Winter's trash. I will literally devour whatever she read, because at least when it comes to her books, there is no cheating, and we can expect a good amount of PLOT. She should be running for the hills and I didn't understand why she didn't run. Each time she decided to stay was more frustrating than the previous one. And I kept having hope her logic will suddenly appear, but nope. She was still an idiot.Beautiful second book in this series! I should've waited to read it. Book #3 will be out in two months and my bookalzheimer brain will have forgotten everything! Grrr! Pepper did not disappoint, she clearly know how to build up her characters and to feel their sorrow and to hope for them. She finally secures her means of escape with a companion she has met through trading, a young man named, West. No child will be forgotten or discarded on her watch. Discovering extraordinary powers and a fire inside herself, Heather will battle to save the first place that has felt like home for years... About This Edition ISBN: Exciting, important and endlessly entertaining … this is going to be huge' - Maz Evans, author of Who Let the Gods Out

We’ve nearly finished Barry which is about a hitman who wants to be a comedy actor. I’m enjoying it, but preferred Mr Inbetween which has a similar premise. Also watching Succession which I feel is way over my head; I enjoy it intellectually, but it doesn’t totally engage my heart/gut. It’s so rare we watch regular telly, so we keep forgetting that there are new episodes of Inside No 9 too.

I loved Heather soooooo much. She’s determined, fierce and an excellent friend. She showed me how she embraces her individuality and fights for her beliefs. She also has her own way on what and who to believe which is why she’s an excellent protagonist in this book. There are too many things to learn from her. It's been a while since I had a likable character and Heather did not disappoint me.
