Legend has it that the Sleeping Woman, guardian goddess of the Cihuatán valley, would intercede on behalf of the people of Cihuatán so that Tlatloc would make the valley bloom. The palate is host to a packed bill of flavours, from dark chocolate, lemongrass, with hazelnuts to artisanal Dulce de Leche - divine! In Mayan language, Cihuatán means "the earth next to the sleeping woman" in reference to the Guazapa Mountain whose lines reveal the shape of a woman, goddess who would have conferred wealth and fertility to the surrounding lands.

It was created as an homage to the Mayan God of rain, dubbed Indigo, and spent its eight years of ageing in American oak bourbon barrels.
