To silence that inner critic, you have to start replacing negative thoughts with positive ones. You also have to practice forgiveness and challenge those negative self-beliefs. Thinking about negative things as external means you recognise there are factors outwith your control that can have an impact on a situation, so if something goes wrong it’s not your fault.
