When Hong Kong style action entered the Hollywood mainstream in the early millennium, both men were at the forefront with Yuen acting as choreographer for The Matrix films and Yen appearing in Guillermo del Toro’s Blade II (2002) and David Dobkin’s Shanghai Knights (2003). If a term is more obscure than average then I try to explain it, same with jokes (sometimes in parenthesis). Grain still looks pretty good, and the finer details are still sharp, even in smokey nighttime sequences.

The disc then closes with a few trailers (the Hong Kong one and two English ones, the former of which is in a fairly rough condition, with all three giving away a lot of the action in the film) and the English opening and closing credits. Review: New to the Hong Kong police force, Rachel Yeung (Cynthia Khan) is constantly treated like a delicate flower and continually relegated to sub-par duties, and because the captain is her uncle, she’s never given the proper respect because she’s a woman.

One minor complaint: constantly referring to the villains as the "male and female thieves" is very clunky and unnatural, and comes off as some sort of automated translation. Four classic police stories from the Golden Age of Hong Kong where the women kick ass as hard as any man. Some of the other details include how she was cast by Corey Yuen – the reasons why; her experience making Yes, Madam! Andrew Hernandez on Jake Gyllenhaal goes full on Jackie Chan in the Trailer for Doug Liman’s ‘Road House’ also starring Conor McGregor This actually looks like a quality production!

Much like their collaboration on that other sequel, this film crackles with crisp hard-hitting action, great performances, and a heighten stylistic stunt work that’s unmatched. I enjoyed hearing about how the sales agents seem to be to blame for the confusion over the titles of the In the Line of Duty series and even for Cynthia Khan’s international stage name! For martial arts fans, however, this particular film also functions outside of the parameters of In the Line of Duty franchise, because, while still sticking to the same general formula of pairing her with a male co-star (as they had with Yeoh for Royal Warriors ), producers opted to replace a series of grizzled Japanese sidekicks with a fresh-faced, up-and-coming Hong Kong star named Donnie Yen. Archival interview with actor Donnie Yen (20:29, SD) – This might be the same interview found on the Hong Kong Legends DVD, but I’m not positive. transfer features less natural grain and has minor issues with haloes along the darkest edges, but isn’t un naturally crisp or overrun with DNR, either.

English Trailer (5:30) – there are about 60 seconds of production logos, then another 60 seconds of recap before the trailer starts properly which accounts for the epic trailer run time. The story of a Bonny and Clyde-like criminal duo on a race against time is perfectly suited for the fast-moving series.

Watch the Trailer for the Jordan Peele-produced ‘Monkey Man’ directed by and starring Dev Patel Someone's pissed that no one saw Polite Society. Part III is probably the least-feted entry to the quartet but I thought it held its own against the high standard of the In the Line of Duty series (see my reviews of Yes, Madam! In Hong Kong, Yeung Lai-Ching is a trainee cop who so impresses her superiors, dealing with an armed robber on the beat, that she immediately gets transferred to the Serious Crime Unit, much to the chagrin of her uncle, who is the easy going head of the unit. I came here to see if there was any reason to get the 88 box set instead of the 4 Eureka releases, and looks like there is some controversy over the subtitles in the Eureka release, as well as PQ/encode issues with the Eureka release. When things don't go to plan, they go on a violent rampage through Hong Kong, and the only ones standing in their way is a newly promoted police cadet and a Japanese cop with a personal vendetta. His partner, Hiroshi Fujioka (played by Hiroshi Fujioka, though he’s not actually playing himself), is there when it happens and vows to get revenge. However, I’m also growing slightly tired of 88Films, Shout, Eureka, and even VinegarSyndrome all putting out their own releases of many of the same titles within short (and getting shorter) periods of time from each other. Some of the other details include how he was cast in his first film and continued to work and eventually left school to peruse acting at 16; working with Sammo Hung, Yuen Biao, Jackie Chan, and others; working on Yes, Madam! She’s working alongside Captain Donnie Yan (Donnie Yen) and Captain Michael Wong (Michael Wong – they weren’t very imaginative in naming characters) in Seattle to shut down an international drug smuggling organisation. Throw in a bit of softcore Cat III style hank-panky between the thieves, one of whom is dying from some fatal disease, as they plot to fund some revolution, and the intermittent attempts to deliver more comedy seems more and more out of step.

For reference, Yuen Woo-ping belongs to a family line of martial arts performers, choreographers, and directors.I think all these other guys who do below average commentaries (that chunky British guy who never got laid and his goofy sidekick come to mind lol) are afraid of the original master to show the them how a real hk commentary is done! In the Line of Duty IV is a masterwork of action filmmaking in an era where master work action filmmaking was almost a usual consistent occurrence with the likes of John Woo, Sammo Hung, Jackie Chan, Ringo Lam, and Tsui Hark all working at an elite level. Whilst Donnie and Yeung run into trouble during a tailing operation, one of their colleagues, Peter (Blaine Lamoureux), manages to track the criminals to their intended dealing location. Arthur Wong and Brandy Yuen’s In the Line of Duty 3 stars Cynthia Khan Lai Ching ( Eternal Fist), Michael Wong Man Tak ( Royal Warriors), Donnie Yen Chi Tan ( Ip Man 4) and Yuen Yat-Choh ( The Postman Strikes Back).
