Description

Filco is a brand that manufactures mid to high-end gaming keyboards aimed at both gamers and professionals. Some of the characteristics of their keyboards include Cherry MX switches, a clean and minimalistic design, excellent build quality, and high-quality keycaps. Interestingly, the Majestouch 3 is a better board for gaming than its predecessor, as it now supports full n-key rollover over USB (meaning the keyboard can correctly register any combination of keys being pressed at once, compared to many non-mechanicals which can struggle with as few as three keys being pressed at the same time). The Maj-2 maxed out a six simulataneous keys over USB, although anyone still using the legacy PS/2 connector could reach the full NKRO. What makes this model special is its Cherry MX Low Profile switches ( total key travel of 3.2mm and a 1.2mm actuation). This allows the keyboard to perform similarly to laptop/ chiclet-style keyboards. I thought I’d destroyed a perfectly good keyboard as it stopped working immediately, it also caused some crazy things to happen with my PC such as opening programs on it’s own and eventually shut it’s self down.

Don’t get me wrong, the box is made with good quality, strong cardboard that should hopefully protect the keyboard whilst in transit, it’s just a bit boring in terms of the unboxing experience. There are two major reasons to look for alternatives. One is if you truly want a gamer heavy aesthetic, and the other is if you want to enter the custom keyboard hobby. Filco is one of the most well-known brands of mechanical keyboards in the world, but not much is really known about the company behind the brand. In this article, we’ll look a little bit at the company itself and the various kinds of keyboards they’ve produced. It is also more reliable since Filco assures that the solder joints won’t easily wear off over time. In a lot of ways, the Majestouch 2’s minimalistic design and focus on the typing experience serve as a precursor to the custom keyboards that have become popular in today’s market. It is the functionality by which all the typed keys are recognized on the PC, even when many keys are typed simultaneously.

Filco is a Japanese keyboard brand well-known for manufacturing some of the highest-end prebuilt keyboards in the market. Their flagship product, the Majestouch 2, debuted in 2011 and has set the bar for high-end mechanical keyboards. They are also very popular in South Korea and are used by countless Starcraft Pro gamers. The Majestouch-2 features N key roll over, which basically means you can press as many keys as you want and it’ll have no problem what so ever registering your keystrokes. The very first Majestouch keyboard was released in December 2004. The keyboard unsurprisingly sported a Japanese layout and used Cherry MX Brown switches. I really like the look of the Skull model. The luminous green looks fantastic when it’s dark. I also like the other little styling touches, such as the bright pink indicator LEDs. The brushed metal FILCO logo on the top right hand side fits in with the rest of the colours, it looks pretty much perfect in my opinion. Water Damage

The Filco MINILA series of keyboards is the company’s first new design since the Majestouch 2 in 2011. There are several things that make these keyboards unique from Filco’s other products. With this, it can release any excess load or vibration that you make when you type in to a board not only to a metal plate inside. It enables you to enjoy a better typing feel!

The Ninja comes with 2 sets of Windows keys 1 set top printed, 1 set front printed, and a key puller to help you change the keys. Remove all keycaps to prevent damaging them when opening the case, as they sometimes obstruct the top of it.
