I’ve been working very hard over the last 18 months on my album and I’ve been working for nearly two and a half years on my book and I’m thrilled that both things I have created are gonna be released into the world!

God is in the TV is an online music and culture fanzine founded in Cardiff by the editor Bill Cummings in 2003. Now, when I listen to it, I hear how much I needed her help and I am so grateful for finding some Balance. Now, more than a decade later, those are still two words that immediately spring to mind when chatting with Spraggan about her new album. Balance well and truly showcases Lucy’s strength and growth and not just in her working life – with lyrics about chasing her own dreams and living her life, the poignant ‘Seasick’ is the perfect example of how far she’s come in her personal life. When I started to work on who I am and how I was going to find my own balance I realised that it’s not always best to do it alone and that sometimes it’s important to reach out for help. She’s been steadily creating, which is something that the industry at large almost seems a little too eager to forget. I had just come to the end of another relationship that didn’t work out and we were talking about what it was that I was looking for in life. II), the accompanying song sees her //’letting go’// of the past and stepping into a more positive future. Among the 14 tracks are also cultural moments that lean into events of the past 10 years that have impacted and altered the social landscape, such as the death of TV presenter Caroline Flack after hounding from the media ( Caroline), along with uplifting sentiments that nod to an artist who, on the back of a mega launchpad, has worked tirelessly to craft a career in her own vision ( Empire).

He wants something deeper with her, thats why he allows himself to be as a puppet (even though for her fun and games) as long as it makes her happy.Last month she publicised the release of her book Process: Finding My Way Through, which we are currently reading, by waiving her anonymity and revealing she withdrew from The X Factor in 2012 because she had been raped. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it.

She won our 2020 Best Gig monsta and the book gives an insight into a psyche that has absolutely no problem exuding charisma, engaging and putting on a show despite a definite need to work on her own mental health. Balance’ is Lucy Spraggan’s seventh studio album produced by Philip MaGee and released through Lucy’s own label Ctrl Records working alongside Simon Cowell’s Syco Publishing company.Who doesn’t remember Lucy Spraggan, the jolly local lass that was the odd one out on The X Factor in 2012? Described as being a personal reflection of her life to this point, the record will be released Friday, April 28th 2023, with Process set to follow later that summer. Some people would rather just deny that it ever happened, but I love having songs because it’s a living memory.
