Ouffff!!!! This isn't nutmeg I perceive so strongly, but clove and I know because I use it a lot for my cooking. I have to agree that this smells somewhat a dated rose. If this perfume were a word, the word would be “Lovely.” First of all, this is a rose scent, very much so, for rose lovers only. It smells like a beautiful fresh flower in a luxurious mahogany room. The rose rests on a luscious woody base and is amplified by the incense, but it’s a realistic rose all the way, maybe even with a touch of essential oil intensity. Sweet vanilla comes through after several hours. I haven’t experienced lychee and rhubarb, but lychee the fruit always reminded me of rose jam, so maybe I just don’t feel the difference. I don't care how popular it is; I think this perfume is a masterpiece, and I don't think it is overrated in the slightest.

When I first sniffed it I was so very intrigued. It had this fresh, feminine and crispy feel to it and I was seriously hesitant to spray this on my skin. Oh man, have I fallen head over heels with this fragrance and it gets more and more addictive to me every time I wear it. Comparing Exclusif to the OG Delina ... I adore them both, and right now it's hard for me to choose which one I enjoy more. The OG Delina is a beautiful floral perfume-- a thorny rose with some incense and musk (on my skin, I barely get much of the fruit that people are talking about), and Exclusif is a sweeter option. I would say that OG Delina is the more mature one of the two, but Exclusif is far from being immature. I think that OG Delina is probably the sexier one of the two, but at the same time, my husband prefers Exclusif ... So what do I know? Haha. I would say that both fragrances would work all year round, too. I have been a member of this beautiful community for about 10 years, I have learned so many things, I have communicated with many wonderful people and 2 perfumes have haunted me so far.... Unfortunately the price was too much for my budget. I looked for alternatives. I bought Very good girl (VGG as it is similar to Delina and also a Quentin Bisch creation although more affordable). After a short while I realised that very VGG was too young for my tastes and I found it caused headaches. So it was perfect to re gift to my youngest daughter who adores it.Since it has a prominent rose note (I love slight hints of rose), I've already expected that it wouldn't be as youthful and as girly as the usual perfumes I gravitate towards (fruity gourmand), so when I first sprayed it on I wasn't surprised when I smelled... a bit like my grandma (although it's not as "old" of a scent) and like I've smelled it so many times before. The first time I smelled this, I’m like huh? This is a musky rose. Nothing special for me. I asked my male friend, and he said “I can see why women like it, it’s kind of generic.” I agree with that observation. Definitely a nice girl, bridal perfume. This is not for women that want to smell slutty enough, or bold to me. Very stepford wife type, that keeps to herself & was a basic sorority girl in college. There’s nothing wrong with it, but it’s not for me. Kind of leans dare I say generic, and not daring enough. Maybe it’s because I smelled Very Good Girl by Carolina Herrera. Guess I’m still not a fan of rose as a note. I’ll see if I like my sample later, then I’ll edit my review. Delina Exclusif is a *beautiful* rosy confection. It smells like a freshly baked pie with rose jam, or something. That said, I don't think it ever gets to be too sweet. It's just the right amount of sweetness to go with the powdery florals of the dominant rose. The litchi is sweet and mouthwatering, the rhubarb is sour and nostalgic, new and fresh flowers and the cosy muskiness is just stunning. It's so bright and crispy and a beautiful spring/summer fragrance. It reminds me of Tahiti in the summer idk why. Very feminine and elegant fragrance. I’m sure this perfume smells amazing on other people but it seems like the notes of litchi and rhubarb pull a weird scent on my skin which is why I returned the perfume.

Unfortunately I don't need to leave my house for quite a few more days so I won't have any more updates for a while on the compliments. As far as a fun desserty rose I also found that in Lancome Tresor A La Folie. Much more affordable, more fun, actually has rose, less bullshit surrounding it all, and somehow despite also having syth woods in the dry down it's done with a more careful hand.

I never smelled the rose everyone talked about(but my sister did) and I like rose scents, but I could clearly smell the litchi and the rhubarb. When I sprayed it I felt disappointed because I felt I smelled “cheap”(young under 11 years old) sweet not “suductive” (18+) sweet”. This is once again another dupe of Delina PDM with good approximation and excellent performance. This is a really nice one, but it has beast mode performance so spray with caution.Delina smells like nostalgia watching Mean Girls and Sisterhood of the Travelling Pants on a girls night in. It smells like girlhood.Vanessa Doofenshmirtz from Phineas and Ferb would wear this. It's her vibe. Upon first spray it made me think of Light Blue by D&G. After a minute or two it turned into a sour sweet scent with rhubarb and litchi which I loved. I feel like at the drydown it starts smelling between unpleasantly musky and like extremely generic rose designer perfume, think; Chloè, Carolina Herrera, Dior etc. This another dupe of Delina PDM with good approximation and excellent performance. This is one of the closer dupes imho. Roughly equivalent performance or slightly better for Delilah.
