Keenan, Shaun (2022-03-02). "Mammy Banter's Serena Terry talks new book, mental health and the future". BelfastLive . Retrieved 2022-11-20. However, yes this character does catch a break, yes this novel leads to happiness I just personally struggled with it. Anti-feminist views, Ageism, Hypocrisy, Double standards, Victim blaming, Pedophilic implication, Misogyny/ Sexism.

I did a podcast with Amy Huberman (known for her role as Daisy in the RTÉ drama series The Clinic) and she said to me, 'Can I play Tara?'."Though I wanted to punch Gemma at times, the way she treated her mom went beyond teen stuff at times. I mean, I remember being pretty ugh at times, but I wasn’t that bad. Plus… well there were other factors as well at play in my case. Later in the book she got way better and even was sweet towards her mom. Which made me smile. Just a shame some bad/unhappy things had to happen first before she started to treat her mom with respect. The plot flows beautifully, the narrator, Serena Terry herself, has an awesome Irish accent that’s so delightful to listen to. I couldn’t turn it off if I wanted to! I think, as a woman, there is always a calamity around the next corner; there is always something that people can relate to. It's brilliant, because when you're not perfect, you've got so much material to work with. How boring would it be, if life was always perfect?" Tara is me, she is Mammy Banter and she is a wee bit of all of us," says Serena, who also voices the accompanying audiobook. Meeting regularly at Ludden beach, on the outskirts of Buncrana, the women have also benefited socially from the group.

Keenan, Shaun (2022-08-03). "Mammy Banter's Serena Terry tells of nerves ahead of debut stand-up show". BelfastLive . Retrieved 2022-11-21. Tara is a bit judgemental at times, judging those that she feels she is being judged by .. I have anxiety myself so I know this feeling 𝙑𝙀𝙍𝙔 well, but she makes a full circle by the end of the book and realises that the person who she thought she had lost was there all along and she was the only one that had been putting herself down (although her bratty teenager didn’t help) and she begins to appreciate those around her for who they are also. She "took the leap" and left the software company where she had worked to set up Catchy Co in June and is now helping other people capitalise on the power of social media with catchy TikTok videos of their own.Tara Gallagher is the main character who seems to think her daughter does not think she is cool as she reaches her teenage years. Tara is trying to manage it all with 3 children. She is very funny in how she describes things and you find yourself laughing along with her and cheering her own. Nobody in this world goes about laughing and joking all day every day. I suffer from anxiety and I'm on medication for it, but I'm not ashamed," she says. This was a sadly funny look at a mother losing her s**t over her newly teenaged daughter, her age, weight, kids, and a full-time job. And let me tell you, Tara takes a beating at her career. As a matter of fact, she takes a beating over almost anything, but the biggest issue is she gives herself the most extensive beatings. I can see where Tara is coming from since I passed this way myself. As a matter of fact, I have no clue why I'm still not as cool with everyone else as I am inside my own head (LOL). Now I'm just an Olde Pharte! It'll hit us all sooner than later! Mammy Banter lost stars for Character development, problematic "feminism" and just over all annoyance. I loved this audiobook, I would highly recommend listening instead of reading, The book is just as good, but Serena Terry’s delivery is excellent. This will brighten up your day and make you laugh out loud!
