Just as Tessa built this calm and worked so hard to start over, she gets pulled under once more by life and its horrible trickery. I saw the movie After before reading the books , you know how it thjngs are in the TBR for a while before you get round to it . First things first, this review has spoilers for the first three books but I will avoid anything spoilery for the last book because everyone deserves to suffer… errr I mean experience this book first hand like I did.It’s no secret that this series isn’t a favorite of mine, but I applaud Anna Todd for providing a solid ending and hope for change. They dragged too many people into their toxic relationship and it started to affect not only the lovebird’s life but everyone’s life around them. Tessa takes double shifts to avoid Hardin, but Landon and Hardin come to her restaurant and request her as their server.

I was hoping that even though everything they went through was so exaggerated, so overdone, far fetched, so pointless that it wouldn't end up being pointless. I’m giving my four finally finished and the characters gathered their senses not to act like spoiled brats stars! Timing is everything and sometimes, due to an influx of requests or book mail, it may take a little while for us to reply/post.

In the After universe, "going away for a while" is like, 5 weeks and involves constant contact and lots of random sex as a means of "healing wounds" what even is that. I could do without the eye rolling dialogue along the lines of “you are the only one who can save me”, “I can’t do this, but I can’t live without you” blah, blah, blah. The next day, after some sleep, Tessa and Hardin eventually go to the hotel where Kim is with Smith (Hardin’s half-brother) and Hardin leaves to pick up Tessa’s clothes that are in their car at some restaurant nearby.

It ends, though bittersweet to say goodbye, with multiple epilogues following them into their forties. It’s very steamy and if you’re into that kinda read (and have a lot of patience)- I’d definitely recommend this. Tessa can be infuriating at times and I swear she sometimes makes choices that you can't help but think she is purposely testing Hardin's limits but she didn't deserve to have, once again, her heart ripped out of her chest and stomped all over.

Landon stated that the novel series' realistic analysis of love, drew her to join the production, stating that her intent while directing the projects was to show that "romance isn't always beautiful". While she is only nineteen, it’s still heartbreaking to receive this news and it only weighs Tessa down further. In the events of After We Fell, we’d discovered quite a few things and seen several changes of scenery.
