Shared responsibility, shared success: Light Chaser belongs to each of its members. We share the responsibility of our mission as well as the fruits of success. With the studio’s fourth film an unqualified success, Zhao notes that more than just diligence and patience were needed to make a good film. “Light Chaser’s first three films mainly targeted the family audience,” the director contends. “ White Snake is our first film that targets a young adult audience. Our first three films helped us build a great team and a solid production pipeline. But even more importantly, a key lesson we learned making those movies is how to choose what kind of story we should develop. Before starting White Snake, we were very clear about our strategy that the film will have strong emotions and appeal mainly to a young adult audience.”

I wanted to read it primarily for Peter F. Hamilton, but together with Gareth Powell, it became something special. The world itself is so vast—it takes light years for Amahle to reach each planet—yet the authors have written a story that feels intimate. At its heart, Light Chaser is a love story between Amahle and Carloman, but it’s one of the most unconventional love stories I’ve ever read, spanning both space and time. I loved this unexpected emotional element, even though the two are separated for most of the story, I was rooting for Amahle to figure things out so that she and Carloman could finally be together. A very satisfying little book from Hamilton and Powell. Very cool concept. Not nearly as dense and waffley as Hamilton's usual fair, I assume we have Powell to thank for that. It was a power story. To top it off, I love Liu Yu Ning’s Chasing the Light, the ending song. It has been instrumental in shaping some of the memorable scenes for me. The opening song, sung by Liu Duan Duan is also good and reflects the hopeful aspiring tone of the underlying heroic theme throughout the show. This is an SF novella eligible for 2021 awards, written by British authors Peter F. Hamilton and Gareth L. Powell. It is already selected for BSFA longlist, and maybe some Hugo voters will also support it. OST: I keep looping it and how the narration really fits this story of growth….not able to FF the opening song and ending song each time....

Ben Zweifel cover reveals Gareth L. Powell Light Chaser Peter F. Hamilton Science Fiction Space Opera Tordotcom Publishing Amahle is 26,355 years old. She's been a Light Chaser for most of that, travelling alone on the circuit between the stars, dropping off and collecting memory collars for her employer, EverLife. The worlds she visits are hell holes of medieval reenactment or dingy mining, but she entertains herself between stops living their lives through the memory collars. Except, again and again, on different worlds and years apart, a voice keeps calling to her, telling her to remember, telling her she needs to act. And, slowly, she does.

Chinese film studio Light Chaser Animation has taken an unusual approach to help to solve this problem – it bought a robot. Child, Ben (November 29, 2012). "China will be the world's biggest film market by 2020". The Guardian. There's a mind blowing premise at the heart of Light Chaser which makes for a compelling read, yet some foundational plot elements are hastily glossed over or incompletely presented and left me feeling like I didn't quite get the full picture. Both of these are Hard SF writers who no doubt keep up to date with what is happening on the distant frontiers of science. ‘Light Chaser’ introduces us to the concept of the ‘strangelet’, a hypothetical particle consisting of a bound state of roughly equal numbers of up, down, and strange quarks. (It functions as a kind of fanciful widget in the novella.) The wi-fi controlled device can move around the company’s offices and it allows animation director Colin Brady – who lives in Los Angeles and did not want to move to China – to communicate with the rest of the team in Beijing. Innovation comes from curiosity and fun: Light Chaser is filled with curiosity about the world. Our fun work environment inspires us in creating the best works and products. When listening to the stories sent down through the ages she hears the same voice talking directly to her from different times and on different worlds. She comes to understand that something terrible is happening, and only she is in a position to do anything about it.

Lyx a season actor he showed all aspects of LB multi-faceted traits eloquently, vivid, delicate and detailed. His ability to deduce the state of his character is thoughtful and accurate. In the last Finale rescue, he blown me away with one of the best acting I’ve seen in C drama and I just witness the explosive growth of this talented actor. ……..Hat’s off to Lyx for performing many dangerous stunts himself. The nitty-gritty: A galaxy-spanning mystery and an unexpected love story, Light Chaser is one of my favorite novellas of the year.

Can’t believe it’s been 3 years already and we are so grateful to be sharing this adventure with you all! In return for your unremitting support, we will be giving away fabulous rewards in the coming new server~ The only thing that didn’t work for me here is the supposedly spacetime-bending relationship between Amahle and Cormoran. The latter mysteriously keeps on popping up in various reincarnations to remind the former of the Eternals’ stranglehold on civilisation. For an example of how to do this properly, one only has to read ‘This Is How You Lose the Time War’ (2019) by Amal El-Mohtar and Max Gladstone. LCR showed a dozen + amazing rescue scenes. My favs are the earthquake, mudslide, and cave, some channeling Hollywood production…. Finale Glacier rescue is Epic, movie texture quality and cinematography and one that I did not think C Drama is capable of making such a harrowing scenes… In addition, other characters with their own demons to face, and romance between different couples added flavor to the story. Romance-wise, there was the calm, restrained and mature love between the main leads. The comfortable steady kind of relationship that I appreciated. There was the second couple that delighted many with how they overcome challenges to stay together and a third couple who did nothing but irritated me with their rash, impulsive, entitled spoilt love. That said, there were viewers who liked them too.
