Silk Sonic embarked on their concert residency, An Evening with Silk Sonic at Park MGM, which started on February 25, 2022, held at the Park Theater, Park MGM in Las Vegas.

The album was certified gold by Music Canada (MC) and platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). Within less than a month, their debut single “Leave The Door Open” cracked over 230 million streams, and currently sits at 2 billion streams with over 510 million official video views. The album would later be nominated for and would go on to win the Album of the Year at the BET Awards 2022. The legendary Bootsy Collins christened Silk Sonic and came in as the “special guest host” for An Evening With Silk Sonic, their debut album. Paak and Bruno Mars forged their musical union in 2017 on the European leg of Mars' 24K Magic World Tour. Talking about the album's themes, Tani Levitt of Clash described it as "an album about friendship and swagger masquerading as a love album.

Paak announced on social media the formation of their new band, Silk Sonic, and revealed the artwork for their debut studio album, titled An Evening with Silk Sonic. It charted moderately, reaching number 14 on the Billboard Hot 100, number 12 in New Zealand, and topping the Israel charts.
