The first Baldur's Gate is huge, offering a plethora of side-quests, extra companions to meet, choices to make, loot to find, and monsters to vanquish. The original PS2 version of the game without all of the alleged enhancements was vastly superior in my opinion, with better game play. Play over 100 hours of adventure in enhanced editions of Baldur’s Gate and Baldur’s Gate II— plus the full Siege of Dragonspear expansion! This is an abrasive hot pile of garbage that is only recommended by a stereotypical boomer mentality; like fully recommending a car as a 10/10 car, only to find out it breaks down all the time, and when you tell them that it breaks down all the time, they make fun of you for not pushing through having to fix it all the time and being 'entitled' to a product that actually **** works. His favourite things are Persona 4, the soundtrack to Rocky IV, and imagining scenarios in which he's drinking space cocktails with Commander Shepard.

Since it was originally released, the subsequent twenty years has seen many games inspired by Baldur's Gate, and many of those have built upon it and in some ways improved upon it, and so going back can leave you feeling like the game is a little antiquated.Unfortunately I am unable to give a 10/10 as much as I'd like to, but for my switch and other console, I'm not sure if anyone else had it, the game was near unplayable due to the game constantly crashing. After being stranded on PC along with Minesweeper and PowerPoint for the best part of two decades, classic role-playing game Baldur's Gate is finally heading to PlayStation so it can be played while you're sat on your couch in your pyjamas, controller in hand, just like God intended. I really neednt have worried the controls overall are more user friendly then I would ever have thought absolutely top marks. As to the games themselves they are as good now as they were in the 90's, these games BG2 in particular are better than 99% of PS4 or XBox 1 games, theres no hand holding they are brutally difficult if played as intended, though you do have the option to scale the difficulty down substantially.There are no waypoints, the quest log isn't particularly intuitive, it's hard to differentiate between NPCs because many of them kinda look the same, navigating the map can be cumbersome, and what you're supposed to be doing is sometimes not as clear as it should be. From here you can move your characters individually or as a party into more advantageous positions, or you can choose attacks or spells to see off the opposition.
