About this deal

I thought it was going to have more marine notes, but all I got was shower gel with a tame hint of something slightly marine. You won't get good performance with this below 75 degrees so save it for the hot days and wear something else on the cooler days. It is a one-dimensional fragrance, the light mandarin opening is quickly followed by the smell of the deep sea really reminds me of when I am fishing. Nothing crazy going on here just a simple straight forward aquatic that works well in the high heat. It really nails the light citrus seaweed notes of the original, but it turns up the sweetness and the seaweed note is a little subtle.

The cedar and woodsy notes incorporate fresh wood, slightly bitter and green accords; the last noticeable note is the clary sage, which adds a herbaceous and light leathery touch, soft but noticeable. I'd say it's in the same galaxy as a Versace Pour Homme, but with added saltiness and slightly more freshness. But it was never trying to be avant-garde in the first place, so why judge it according to those standards? I get it's supposed to be a water droplet, which is cool in theory… but it’s kind of gimmicky and awkward, just takes up too much space imo.

AQVA definitely has that early 2000's sense of manliness to it - trying to be minimal, to the point, and taking itself way too seriously. If this scent brings to mind little more than "generic aquatic" or "AdG clone" or "gym bro", what even is the point of perfumery anymore?

Bvlgari Aqva is very masculine, how man should smell out at sea or just in the summertime in general. If you ever drank a cocktail with egg whites at the top, or smelled meringue dessert up close, that mild smell off the raw eggs is exactly what Calone and varieties can smell like in heavy dose (above 1% of the formula can be enough to consider Calone-overdose). I’m a little disappointed with this if I’m honest, considering this is in the same family as Aqva Amara I was expecting something a little more unique.

But then, as much as I digged the OG, started to understand the Marine, being a fresher version of the OG; after smelling both, I guess I learned to appreciate the Marine. It's marine without being nauseating from an excess of seaweed and salty notes(to me); just the right amount to blend with the citrus and neroli.Top notes are Grapefruit, Neroli, Mandarin Orange and Petitgrain; middle notes are Water Notes, Seaweed and Rosemary; base notes are Virginia Cedar and Amber.

Please read the full reviews and consider your own needs and preferences before making a purchasing decision.Calvin Klein Euphoria has a floral aroma which consist of top notes pomegranate, persimmon and green accord blend with the lotus blossom, champaca . Every now and again I would get a little whiff of something good but it was very fleeting, it smelt exactly the same during the dry down as when I first sprayed it.
