About this deal

Bearing in mind the master and slave cylinders seem absolutely fine, it's just the coupling that's damaged I'm thinking of just cutting the pipes (I think they afre 8mm? The only thing is that I can't move the plastic collar on the fitting to disconnect; has anyone got any hints please? I don’t know whether the hydraulic fluid in the lines is stopping me pushing it shut or if it’s something else. AN specification refers to ‘dash’ sizes, arrived at by multiplying the nominal bore of the hose by 16, hence ½” hose is -8.

The connector wouldn't separate in the manner described elsewhere on the Forum and that turned out to be connected with the reason why it cracked in the first place. I took the slave cylinder and bulkhead adapter with me and just asked my local hydraulics place to make the hose accordingly. And might have used a spanner over the pipe to give more pushing power on the rear of the mating part. New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging . Use copper grease on the fitting to coat the stainless spring fingers and it might come apart next time, but don't hold your breath.

I did find it was hard then just snapped together, only to find I had routed the pipe over rather than under near the bulkhead but was able to wiggle the whole thing to the point of being correct. Hi, I've got the same problem (corroded and split connectors joining the hydraulic pipe that joins the master and slave cylinder).

But Fiat have used an aluminium case with stainless steel spring fingers inside to retain the fitting. I found that I had accidentally routed the pipe over rather than under an air conditioner line but disconnected it from the M/C and positioned it correctly. After 2009 the pipe has a swage collar 10-15 mm along its length either end and the nylon locking plug is split into 4 for about half its length and is a clip fit on the pipe this part number plug is 215615B I may have to see if the later pipe is available of go to a hydraulic hose company and have one made.VAT (Value Added Tax) is charged at 20% on all purchases shipped within the UK (with the exception of certain items such as books). The aluminium corrodes against the stainless and the considerable expansion of aluminium oxide = a ruined fitting that will never separate.

Additionally, if it is a simple coupling does anyone know what sort of pressure the system operates at, so that I can get the correct part? Mainly used for brake and clutch lines where, due to its small size, the weight penalty is not too significant.Come join the discussion about performance, reviews, reliability, modifications, troubleshooting, maintenance, for all models. Please also ensure that you have the necessary tools, knowledge and experience before working on fuel, brake and clutch and systems.

Guess what, the little rubber bung has been sitting in my oil drain pan for two months, after two oil changes as well. The early 207s between 2006-09 had a clutch hydraulic master/slave pipe part number 29557 E7 the problem is this pipe has a fixed nylon plug with a small swage mushroom on the pipe tip and is sealed with an O-Ring at either end.Anyway it's the clutch I'm really interested in, did you ever confirm what the fixing sizing is on the wing and master cylinder (and clutch servo if you have that too)? I belive the union on the inner wing is Imperial and the brake pipe connectors at the wishbones are metric. These include flywheels, so you'll have everything you need to repair this part of your car in one bundle. replacing both with new will be far easier than trying to separate the connection even though it "should" be a simple task of pushing in the plastic release part, but then nothing on the Fiat is that easy where rusting/corrosion is? I left the original clutch hose in place while I routed the new one to ensure that I fitted it correctly and still managed to get it on the wrong side of the A/C pipe.
