About this deal

This is a fairly decent volume and you'll be able to print most predesigned models you might download of the internet. A continuous evolution of the Neptune line of FDM 3D printers, this improves in several ways on an already solid predecessor. The screen UI, whilst one of the nicer ones available, is not the best user experience available, I routinely hear a beep as if I have pressed it but without the actual action happening on screen, which is infuriating, so I turned the beep off for a short amount of time, however then I had no clue whether something had worked, so I relented and re-enabled the beep.

I obliged only to realise that the latest version of Cura did not contain the printer profiles for many of Elegoos latest printers including the Neptune 3 Pro or Plus. There is evidence of slightly more stringing on the points at the top in comparison to the Neptune 3 Pro though it is certainly no issue. The textured bed did not require any glue stick as a buffer layer and the print popped off as easily as PLA once cool. The 250W hotbed can quickly heat up to 100ºC to meet the needs of different filament materials and avoid warping issues. I had to print two of the torture test models as whilst printing the first one we had an extremely rare power cut.

The extruder is great, but if the build plate is poor, you’re still not going to want to use the machine, and thankfully Elegoo kept the texture PEI spring steel sheet from the Elegoo Neptune 3 here. The power recovery feature will detect this and offer to re-heat the bed and nozzle before resuming where it was before the power failed. The Neptune 3 Pro is a powerful FDM printer from Elegoo, which with its build volume of 225 x 225 x 280 mm can print the most common print formats on the market. This derpy pigeon stuck in a piece of bread is a two part, print in place model from Layers In Green. To help ensure the correct cable goes to the correct part each one is labelled and differently sized connectors are used.It is the older 12864 full graphics LCD, which despite what its name implies, is a monochrome LCD, it is ancient, but it is simple and bulletproof.

We could probably find a better wrench, but we like to assemble printers for review with the tools provided. Naturally it would feature refinements and improvements across the board, and unsurprisingly the 'Pro' designation highlights additional features to improve reliability, quality and usability. The ability to change nozzles is welcome and the large touchscreen interface makes for easy control of the machine. Its simple auto bed leveling, PEI coated flex plate, and excellent direct drive will h You also get a PDF copy of the manual, a copy of Elegoo Cura and a sample model in both pre-sliced . This is because I think it is less prone to damage when the machine is connected to a computer for direct printing. In comparison one of the pieces of the Original Neptune 3 printer was enclosed over two levels of foam making for a trickier than expected extraction of that part. You can then right the printer and attach the control screen (one cable) and it's mount (three bolts).
