Many years ago you could get a 12yr old version of this for very sensible money, but I think they may have started to run out of aged barrels due to how popular it became.

This fine blend of malt and grain whisky has created a blend which has a floral nose, with a sweet orange palate and a long subtle finish with just a hint of Japanese oak. The production process is very similar to that for Scotch whisky, and the product is the closest in style to Scotch of all non-Scotch whisky. I found it goes smoothly near, but mixed in a hiball it was grand as the fizz did help aerate things and separate the flavors giving it quite a good complex profile.
