About this deal

What this means it won’t feel as good as something like a Leica lens or anything with a metal focus ring. I had this lens twice and there was definitely a lot of difference in their performance - the second one was a lot better.

Some green and magenta fringing can be visible in out-of-focus areas of the frame at larger apertures, but it’s not overly distracting. The lens is sharper at f/2 and has excellent uniformity and superior edge-to-edge sharpness from f/2.DPR has been pretty clear in past articles that equivalence applies to light gathered as well, looking those up will be more useful than quibbling about it here tbh. While I appreciate the attempt to explain this phenomenon with this lens, unfortunately, this is not the issue I experienced with the lens. This is my favourite lens for shooting at higher frame rates then slowing it down in post-production. What I noticed instantly was how much sharper the image looked as well as how much more blue I had in the background. However, while this effect was easily measurable in our studio testing of the lens, it’s not something many users are likely to notice during normal shooting.

It will be very interesting to see how the modern equivalent fills the same niche for current MFT cameras. But what I really like about it, is the bokeh, which I found surprising as I never really cared about this aspect. You can leave it off without affecting the use of the lens, but it does square off the front quite neatly. A 35mm equivalent of 75mm or longer would be more suitable for head and shoulders and closer shots of people.Reproduction in whole or part in any form or medium without specific written permission is prohibited. Its light weight is substantially due to plastic barrel construction, but thankfully the mount is metal, which rightly or wrongly always inspires more confidence than plastic versions. The problem is that all older reviews don't use numerical values and therefore it's impossible to compare one to the other. This lens features an internal focusing system with a stepping motor to drive a faster, precise and ultra-silent autofocus.

We can take the phrase undistorted view of the world quite literally, as the distortion levels measured are an extremely low -0. Features like articulating screens, touch screen, touch AF, and 10fps common to even first gen OMD MFT cameras will likely be off the table when venturing into older digital full frame land.Ultra-high refractive index (UHR) lenses improve optical performance, reduce size and weight, and achiev uniform image quality from the center to the edges of the image. The iPhone 15 Pro Max stretches into new telephoto territory with its tetraprism design and 5x (120mm equivalent) reach. Length hybrid photography enabled for both photo and HD video recording with quiet and smooth fast action stepping motor focusing takes advantage of lumix mirrorless camera high speed, high precision contrast AF system.

I tested indoors with Olympus stabilizer on, different shutter speed (1/20 to 1/640), different ISO.Lumix G ASPH lens, blackA fast, normal prime designed for Micro Four Thirds mirrorless cameras, the Lumix G 25mm f/1. Then, if you decide to sell, MPB will pick up your kit with a free insured DPD collection and you’ll get paid cash into your account within days. It is very easy to induce quite obvious flare, creating image artefacts and also reducing contrast to a soft haze. It even looks like some samples of that lens exhibit consistent front-focusing behavior (to me, that would indicate a faulty lens than needs to be sent back, to be honest). We tested it with a Panasonic G9 and found the touchscreen makes it painless to move focus smoothly and silently, with just the tap of a finger.
