Huangshan Mao Feng tea's English translation is "Yellow Mountain Fur Peak" due to the small white hairs which cover the leaves and the shape of the processed leaves which resemble the peak of a mountain.This Sejak (second flush) green tea form Jirisan has a savoury profile, with umami and seaweed flavours and a sweet aftertaste. This is a highly regarded tea that can almost always be found on most of the lists for famous teas of China.

The tea is grown near Huangshan (Yellow Mountain), which is home to many famous varieties of Green Tea. This version hails from Wugongling village, located in She County (Shexian) that falls under the jurisdiction of Huangshan City. If you enjoy the health benefits of green tea but hate the taste, this is perfect for you, It has a delicate natural flavour of summer air, peaches and apricots and, unlike most murky brown, standard green teas, this one turns a pale green when infused. Due to delicate nature we suggest using good quality filtered or spring water to get the best out of this tea. The taste reveals lightly grassy and vegetal notes that are highlighted by a lightly toasted nutty aspect. The taste further develops with sweeter notes and light flavours of fruits, such as apricots and peaches.
