It uses a four-arm system to regulate to the various external dimensions of flat-panel monitors and clamp them securely. Our non-VESA adapter is compatible with a wide range of makes and models and you will easily be able to adapt your non-VESA screen to a VESA mounting bracket. If you're handy enough then maybe you could build something out of wood that clamps the monitor into place and just drill vesa-holes in the wooden panel.
