About this deal

The simplistic plot isn’t enough to hold your attention for the whole playtime, even with two very compelling lead characters. It's not a perfect game, with the troublesome camera handling as its major flaw, but it's still a game that every lover of third-person action games should consider. Whenever they do show up, you’ll bear witness to Briar doing some truly inhuman feats with slick camera work.

I could be wrong about this, as I’m going off of how it felt while playing, but it really felt like the developers knew what enemies they wanted to put into each fight (which I have no problem with), but then just set them in a line to march into battle when an enemy dies or an invisible timer sets off for more enemies to spawn.

Combine their strengths to unlock powerful transformations and fulfill their true potential as a Chimera.

Gets boring in the middle where the scenery and enemies are very repetitive with the game having you fight in the same town from start to finish. Soulstice combines a fascinating setting, two well-characterized protagonists, an engaging storyline and a gameplay that, albeit with a few smears, is capable of providing many hours of fun. How that information colours your interest in the game is up to you but it makes a refreshing change. Unlike many modern games, however, the upgrades feel meaningful and there’s no way you can get them all in a single playthrough.

Subject to regulation by the Financial Conduct Authority and limited regulation by the Prudential Regulation Authority. When I heard about Soulstice, the one thing that sold me on it is that it was said to be similar to Devil May Cry and Bayonetta, which are two games that I love. There are 25 chapters in Soulstice, but well over 100 new mechanics to explore throughout the 20 odd hours that it takes to finish this game. Aside from the two or three instances that it makes sense, I not only felt there were too many enemies being thrown at you, but enemies that require more attention and maintenance showing up together, making it more annoying and overwhelming than it should be. Explore a striking, fantasy-inspired world brimming with hidden mysteries, master a diverse combat system, and inhabit the dual forces of two sisters in a coming-of-age fantasy story with fast-paced action, vicious enemies, and spectacular boss fights.

Reply Game Studios' goal has been hit: Soulstice is a respectable stylish action that deserves a place next to the "holy monsters" major exponents of the genre. Yet the many of these locations are dull and unappealing, and with the exception the last few locations in the end game, barely look any different than one another. I felt almost nothing for Briar and Lute at the beginning, and I felt almost nothing for them by the end, because we barely learn who they are.

Isle of Man, Isle of Wight, Northern Ireland and the Scottish Highlands) may take longer to reach you. Some other Chimeras were sent as well, both before and after they arrived, but it seems like the ones that came before them weren’t interested in waiting for the newbie. You start out with a warhammer for your secondary weapon, but you do unlock five more that all have their pros and cons making them more helpful in certain situation. How about Soulstice, then, a new fantasy RPG from publisher Modus Games and developer Reply Game Studios.
