About this deal

Italian-born American-raised artist David Palladini released the Aquarian Tarot deck in 1970, when he was just 24-years-old. One of those touches is the way the faces of characters in the cards tend to be somewhat ethereal, showing less of the underlying personality than the Rider-Waite. I am also very gentle when shuffling that deck, so I wanted to purchase something that I could throw in my purse and could still do readings with on the go. Read more about the condition New: A new, unread, unused book in perfect condition with no missing or damaged pages. I have a passion for exploring new decks and also finding various ways of connecting to my intuition.

It can be used to read for any client, without upsetting them and I found even some of the darker cards are actually really beautifully done. The colors are beautiful and there is a reason why this deck has still been in print for over 40 years - it is a timeless classic. Man has always been interested in the mysteries of his unconscious and the future; whether consciously or not, he has always strived toward the light of transcendent life. If the item comes direct from a manufacturer, it may be delivered in non-retail packaging, such as a plain or unprinted box or plastic bag.

It is a wonderful vintage inspired Tarot deck with so many elements brought together in such a cohesive and elegant way. This deck is old by many standards but the artwork still remains rather unique and revealing in many ways. When you look at the characters’ expressions, they seem stone faced and introspective…which can be pretty frustrating during a Tarot reading!

The Aquarian Tarot will also resonate with people who vividly experienced in the late 60s and early 70s or anyone who feels connected to that era. While many see the Aquarian Tarot deck and immediately point to the Art Deco and Art Nouveau influence, few acknowledge that many of the colours are distinctly from the 1970s, when the deck was released. The ones I received are smaller, the printing quality is also quite poor (colors are clearly less vibrant). New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging .

The colors are a bit more muted but I enjoy the color theme throughout and the running theme and consistent drawing style in the deck. It has an 'ancient' feel but also a 'modern' feel that many enjoyed getting readings with and is a sure winner for a primer deck! The cards, in the universal language of symbols, explore man's collective unconscious and its bearing on one's personal life and growth. The accompanying guidebook gives you step-by-step instructions on how to conduct trustworthy Tarot readings for yourself and others. What makes the Rider-Waite and the Aquarian so powerful and enduring is the symbolism embodied in the artwork - a symbolism that evokes profound responses from the Unconscious mind.
