The different colours mean you can always find a colour that will show up on various types and colours of materials. Use to Mark placement lines, buttonholes, darts, pleats and pattern markings on fabric, paper, leather etc. The Hemline Mushroom Darner is a traditional tool, ideal for hand darning socks, sleeves and other garments! the only consolation is that it comes with 5 colours, but regular carbon paper would have been cheaper, and I now have a tracing wheel that is no use to me.

The paper is thick, much thicker than I expected, but I have never bought dressmakers carbon before. You'll be all set to cover buttons in sizes 11mm, 15mm, 19mm, 22mm and 29mm, making bespoke designs that will add the perfect finishing touch . Patterntrace is a soft and translucent Swedish tracing paper which is ideal for dressmakers, durable but easy to see through, and excellent for copying the detail from existing patterns. The tape measure includes calibrations in centimetres and inches up to 300cm, with a hard wearing metal .The black nickel-plated thimble has a recessed top to prevent needles from slipping, as well as a raised rim to help needles pierce the fabric more easily.

Always make marks on the reverse of the fabric and check on a scrap first to test for application (marks made are permanent).Place the carbon side of the sheet face down on the wrong side of the fabric under the paper pattern. Some mention that it works well and is a very useful product, while others say that it didn't work for them and that it did not work on fine wool.
