Instead, the banter they had and the ease of being themselves while spending time with each other was the foundation of this couple’s partnership. I loved that Winnie takes charge, I like to see my heroines knowing what they want and not being afraid to go get it.And, lastly, the only aspect I actually liked about the book was when this dude fucked her with her sundress on and he ripped it and felt bad so he sewed it for her after. That's fine, but I would just love it so much more if characters like him stopped adhering to toxic masculinity, and instead did something like sing disney songs with his girls in the car. she'd act like a child and this might be selfish of me but i found it annoying when she'd complain or cry about dex not loving her back.

The author always mentions how the pigtails are always lopsided and that he's always too rough when brushing the girls' hair. They just get to fuck around and be less than mediocre, yet, they're so much more loved by their children than the other parent. It was such a great break from all the dark romance that I have been reading and I adored the way this author wrote.

Winnie’s (22) in love with love; in fact, she’s been in many relationships, was even engaged once, and she still believes in it. But the worst aspect by far was the way he was constantly talking about how young and childish she is.
