Slight flaw there I think, but I can use the pdf and print it and include it myself in the cd - but that feels a bit 'against' the point of the CD version. I'm not usually a musicals kind of dude, nor am I a jazz guy, however the songs are so well written and performed here it's hard not to fall in love with it. Justin Hurwitz won two oscars for La La Land (best original score and best original song) and had previously written the score for Damien Chazelle’s previous hit, Whiplash. I really loved La La Land as a movie - in the style of old Hollywood with fantastic music and cinematography - and I wanted the soundtrack because it was stuck in my head!

The compilation of tracks, as enchanting as stardust, shuttles the listeners through a deluge of emotions, leaving them beguiled.La La Land tells the story of Mia [Emma Stone], an aspiring actress, and Sebastian [Ryan Gosling], a dedicated jazz musician, who are struggling to make ends meet.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Noise floor isn't as quiet as desired after lengthy ultrasonic cycles, but the crackle (no pops) gives the music a vintage context which eases the commercial sheen a bit. The intention behind La La Land, the film, was to show how the glamour, the romance, and the sheer joie de vivre of the classic fifties musicals could be recreated in the twenty-first century. Owning this vinyl album ensures an eternal ticket to the magical world of "La La Land," wherever, and whenever. However, I was disappointed that when the CD came they hadn't included the lyrics in the booklet with the CD.
