About this deal

Disc one concludes with KALUSH’s winner from 2022, Barbara Pravi’s ‘Voilà’ from 2021, Netta’s win from 2018, and Salvador Sobral from 2017. Over on side 2, ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’ from Conchita opens, followed by Måns Zelmerlöw with ‘Heroes’ and favourites from Verka Serduchka, and Netta. A 5-LP box set presented in a rigid slip case, with the 5 individual LP’s, including track by track annotations on the reverse of each cover that include facts about the song, artist, and result at the contest.

Feel good songs, smoochy ballads and great memories of what Eurovision was like and is still evolving to be. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. The discs are just slotted into a cut half way inside the sleeve, I’m not a fan of this as the discs can get scratched with frequent use. Products labelled '*item fulfilled by Exertis on behalf of hmv' will be supplied to you directly by Exertis via their approved couriers. Sandie Shaw’s ‘Puppet On A String’ is up next before timeless ballads from Anne-Marie David with ‘Wonderful Dream’, and Gigliola Cinquetti with ‘Go (Before You Break My Heart)’. Flip the LP over for the final side which is all about celebrating the earlier years of the contest… the classic ‘Congratulations’ by Cliff Richard is leading the track-list. This compilation brings all of the popular (not necessarily my favourite Eurovision songs) together in one collection.

Gina G, Verka Serduchka and Dana International bring the dance-floor classics, whilst Lordi and Måneskin brought Rock to the contest – and won! For items that are dispatched using our standard service, we ask that you wait 14 days from the date of dispatch before reporting any items as undelivered. We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse.Sadly it’s just a cardboard trifold sleeve, no booklet or pictures, the contest has been quite the visual experience over the years, just to see the fashion and hairstyles over the years would have been fun! I really like this album as it manages to incapsulate the very essence of what the Eurovision Song Contest is all about. The 103 third parties who use cookies on this service do so for their purposes of displaying and measuring personalized ads, generating audience insights, and developing and improving products. A must have for fans who never hunted for import collections which other counties have proudly released for years, pity it took so long here.

Established acts that represented the UK in the ’70s include Olivia Newton-John, The Shadows and The New Seekers – all featured. What lets it down a bit - and this is by no means unusual with Eurovision compilations - is the inclusion of many foreign language songs in their English versions. This unique 3 CD album features 70 of the most memorable songs from the contests history – including enduring fan favourites alongside massive selling winners.

ABBA with ‘Waterloo’ followed by two of the UK’s all-time favourite winners from Bucks Fizz and Brotherhood Of Man… the first disc includes the anthems ‘Hallelujah’ and ‘Love Shine A Light’ before contemporary favourites; Duncan Laurence’s ‘Arcade’, Måns Zelmerlöw with ‘Heroes’ and the stunning ‘Rise Like A Phoenix’ from Conchita – plus the massively popular winner ‘Fairytale’ from Alexander Rybak. With so many songs entered since the beginning (some highly cherished and others best left in the vaults) this won’t please everyone, but it’s a great chance to hear many of these songs again, and I hope further volumes are released or a DVD/Blu-ray collection - they should have “tooken one step further”!

and this incredible collection draws to a close with Domenico Modugno’s ‘Nel Blu Dipinto Di Blu’, which would become a huge hit, often better known as ‘Volare’, and finishing with ‘Refrain’ from Lys Assia - the first ever winner from 1956.

The earlier years of the contest are celebrated on LP5 – with the classic ‘Congratulations’ by Cliff Richard leading the track list. LP2 presents a run of perfect Pop gems, including Loreen with ‘Euphoria’, ‘Popular’ from Eric Saade, ‘Wild Dances’ from Ruslana, Helena Paparizou, Verka Serduchka and Netta, before heading back to well-loved ‘80s winners from Nicole with ‘A Little Peace’, Johnny Logan’s ‘What’s Another Year’, and one of the greatest singers ever, Céline Dion with the 1988 victor ‘Ne Partez Pas Sans Moi’. It has most of the hits that you would expect but there are a few that I suspect the record company couldn’t include like Cliff Richard’s Congratulations etc most probably due to licensing or copyright issues. Celebrate the legacy with 36 songs across 2LPs – LP1 pressed on translucent red, and LP2 pressed on translucent blue vinyl. The earlier years of the contest are celebrated on Disc 4 with the classic ‘Congratulations’ by Cliff Richard leading the track-list.
