Whilst visual aids are the best teaching tool for introducing the idea of number bonds, the best way to actually learn the number bonds to 20 is by first learning the number bonds to 10. Learning about number bonds and the part-part-whole relationship is an important foundational math concept in first grade. However, knowing your number bonds to 20 is more than just being able to quickly recite pairs that have a total of 20. These worksheets make the perfect classroom activity, or they could be used as a homework exercise to see how much your children have learnt.
We have no affiliation to OCR, Pearson Edexcel, AQA, Eduqas and these questions represent our own unique activities developed by our GCSE authors. However, knowing your number bonds to 100 is more than just being able to quickly recite pairs that have a total of 100.
We build confidence and attainment by personalising each child’s learning at a level that suits them. Students show their understanding of number bonds by filling in missing numbers for the part and whole, cut and paste, as well as writing addition and subtraction sentences. This Number Bonds of 20 Activity will engage your class to improve their addition and subtraction Maths sums.
