Description

For very young children just beginning to dare to do new things and their supportive and loving parents, this gentle read-aloud just might be the best thing in the world. Their journey is delineated in words and pictures as they travel through terrain covered with grass and bushes and jump from rock to rock until they reach their destination. Our team is made up of book lovers who are dedicated to sourcing and providing the best books for kids. It's as hot as hot can be, and Dad Bear says, I think a pair of hot bears is probably the hottest thing in the world. We are lucky to have been able to utilize the book as a resource with young people in service where appropriate and it helps to provide a safe way to discuss some of the risks posed to young people we work with and/or other young people they might come into contact with.

Very easy to deal with and they were more than happy to implement any changes we needed post completion. By submitting a review you grant us the right to display and use it in any way; please read our General Legal Notices for full details. Our skilled team brings your digital vision to life with captivating logos, intuitive navigation, and engaging content. I love the expressions in the young bear's face and demeanor that match the character's feelings of anticipation and fear and confidence and bravery.

It's difficult to emphasise how great an illustrator Emily Hughes (her pencil drawings and texturing make for such a rich and inviting landscape - the double-page spread of the bears heading home is one of my favourites) is and how touchingly Taylor captures the relationship between father and son. But what will happen when Little Bear tries to impress his dad by doing a big jump across the rocks? It was a very hot day and a little bear suggested to his daddy bear that they could go to the river and cool off.

If you don't look at your toddler and think "you do this same stuff" then your kid is perfect and this book isn't for you. The parent-child relation (attentive adult allowing the offspring to be a risk-taker) is beautifully portrayed both verbally and in Emily Hughes glowing, superbly textured scenes into which she places the shaggy-coated characters.Little Bear is determined to lead the way and show his dad just how brave and clever he is but, as all parents know, this kind of excitement leads to accidents. These include picture books such as Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise, illustrated by Jean Jullien, Where the Bugaboo Lives, illustrated by Neal Layton and The World Champion of Staying Awake, illustrated by Jimmy Liao. His picture books include the bestselling 'Hoot Owl, Master of Disguise' illustrated by Jean Jullien. The Wales Police Schools Program officers have recently been trained by Heather Lewis, from the Brave Bear Trust.
