About this deal

If you’re looking for a large display tablet that will give you all of the essential features you’ll need to make digital art and design on the computer, the Wacom Cintiq 22 is what I would recommend.

And while, in theory, simply having to shift my right thumb to press the buttons would potentially simplify and speed up work flow, most projects still require me to use several other useful short cut keys so often neglecting the buttons and instead sticking exclusively to the keyboard seems to make sense right now. As a result, several of the images I worked with looked sharper on my laptop (which has a smaller screen and a higher pixel density) than on the Cintiq 22. You’ll also notice that the bezel is a bit wider on the bottom of the Cintiq 16 but not quite as wide on the Cintiq 22. Plus, the pen has been precisely designed so that the balance of weight, rubber grip and position of the buttons make it comfortable to use. Vibrant color, HD clarity and ergonomic design together with the super-responsive Pro Pen 2, offer a natural experience and help take your creative ideas and illustrations to the next level.

Whether you’re still creating on paper or using a pen tablet, Wacom Cintiq 22 Creative Pen Display’s seamless interaction between pen and display will feel natural and take your skills to the next level.

This would be fine if this were a general-purpose or entertainment monitor, but it's a little low for an artist's display, particularly as designers tend to work relatively close to their monitors, sometimes at a precision touch-up level. Each one can be configured with your favorite shortcut and your creative work will become smoother and more efficient. In addition professional creators can reliably display HDR (high dynamic range) content on the Wacom Cintiq Pro 22. But the Huion's and XP-Pens aren't far behind on that front, and if/when they ever add an eraser to their pens and introduce felt nibs, the final gap there may very well be closed.

The anti-glare glass surface is laminated to give it a slight texture, which gives a pleasing sense of bite as you move the stylus across it. During the six-month deferral period, it is possible to pay off the loan, either by way of a lump sum or in smaller amounts.

Perhaps the most notable feature of the Cintiq 22 becomes apparent when you compare it with the model it replaces in Wacom’s lineup, the Cintiq 22HD. For artists seeking a top-tier drawing tablet, Wacom Cintiq Pro 22 is definitely the best investment in their artistic future that will surely pay off.
