No, but when you understand the character's motives and the outside forces that are affecting the characters, it is easier to understand why Keller and Sienna make the choices they make throughout the story.

While I liked Sienna’s personality and admired how she had always taken care of herself, she also had potential, what we really needed to see was her being stronger. He also needs to unify his belts and it seemed like a simple task until he met an enchanting British firecracker that knocks him sideways. It’s not a dark romance book at all but it’s a romance full with smuts (dear god those smuts 🥵), drama, HEA book that is worth the time.

He had hoped one night with her would have been enough to get her out his head for good, but he's already in too deep. I think what made the storyline overall solid was the introduction of characters, how the storyline progressed, and how it ended. Distance proved that nothing beats a good mafia/boxer/assassin character meeting Miss British/ Independent/childhood trauma that has a body like a goddess. Plus, as I mentioned before, the series name ties in well, and since we are introduced to Grayson and Luca who have their books, it makes you want to see "Beneath the Mask" with them too.I loved the groveling… hate when it’s too fast but was hard to read how bad both of them got with the time apart !
