About this deal

I’ve noticed that clear glue and school glue need different amounts, but it also is affected by humidity – I need more starch in the summer than in the winter. To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. If it's too sticky, feel free to add a tiny bit (1 teaspoon at a time) of contact lens solution then knead again.

We added 5 different shades of extra fine blue, green and teal glitter and about 3 teaspoons of fine purple glitter. You can definitely try another brand of glue, but we can’t guarantee that it will work with our recipe. By combining two simple ingredients, glue (either white or clear) and liquid starch , you can create a fun craft that will keep the kids busy for hours. We added quite a lot of sequins, but you can add as much as you want until you get your desired look. When I use Borax I mix 1/2 teaspoon of Borax in 1/2 cup of warm water and mix until it is completely dissolved. Reminder: your contact lens solution should contain boric acid and sodium borate or your slime will not form.

The ratings/reviews displayed here may not be representative of every listing on this page, or of every review for these listings. Slime is pleasantly cool to the touch and is wondrous and exciting, without being too gross or making an actual mess. I actually added some shaped glitter (mermaids, sharks, dolphins, turtle, and anchors) to make it even more themed, and we got lots of compliments. Fun at Home with Kids has a great slime recipe that you could use for the base of this that was written for places that don’t have liquid starch or borax!Handcrafted Slime Items are a handmade product produced and packaged in small batches to ensure quality and freshness. We have several other slime recipes on our Sensory Play page, and we share a new Sensory Play idea or recipe nearly every week, so if you’d like to not miss out, please consider subscribing to our free weekly newsletter, delivered straight to your e-mail. STEP 4: Mix in 1 tbsp saline solution and stir until slime forms and pulls away from sides of the bowl.

This slime is really easy to make and leaves little mess since you don’t have to use any food coloring. This chunky glitter gives it more sparkle you can notice and is smooth on your hands when playing with it. We took the slime out after a week and it was still stretchy and soft, though definitely not as soft as when it was first made. But for now we will kept them separate (well, except Lego and Fidget Spinners which we’ve already combined in this Lego Fidget Spinner! However, keep in mind that although adding more activator (saline solution) reduces the stickiness, and it will eventually create a stiffer slime.I used the Elmer blue glitter glue and Elmer turquoise metallic glue since I couldn’t find the green glitter glue anywhere.

As a team, we love to live a life of creativity and colour and this oozes across our unique range of products that we develop - from DIY Slime Kits to Letter Writing Gift Sets. And if you’re a fan of unicorns too – we have 2 very fun unicorn slime recipes that would be perfect to make for a unicorn party – this Fluffy Slime and a glitter glue Unicorn slime. We used a lot of the chunky glitter so that it covered the slime and looked more like a mermaid tail. Tinkering with the baking soda and saline amounts will change the consistency of the slime to thinner or thicker. If you’re looking for a general slime recipe, our base slime recipe can be found here: How to Make Slime With Contact Solution. I just transferred all of my recipes from one recipe card plugin to another and the other didn’t have numbered steps so I think there was just a space that this card interpreted this way.
