I should admit that Alyssa Ashley Musk (especially Eau de Toilette version) is one of the best musks I encountered on the market. My Musk became famous for its first version, which was the intense and ultra-sensorial version of the oil, but it is now possible to find the same heady perfume in other forms such as body creams, shower gel, cologne spray, deodorant and obviously in the eau de parfum and eau de toilette line. I remember hanging out at music events and smelling this alyssa ashley musk scent together with patchouli, nag champa, frankincense and myhrr and new at the time colognes like Brut and Jade East Musk, British Sterling to name a few.I have yet to try the newest bottle and if it hasn't changed much from the last incarnation than I will be happy with it. It is a persistent and unforgettable perfume, which will stand by you all day long without getting tired: it leaves the floral hint after a few hours, releasing the sweetness of vanilla and tonka beans. The top note is Sicilian Bergamot; the middle notes are Rose, Jasmine and Ylang-Ylang; the base notes are Musk, Oakmoss, Vanilla, Tonka Bean and Iris. I recently bought this perfume and it doesn’t match my memories, the strength and formulation definitively changed, it’s just a faint version of what it was.
