I really want to read this book and the first few pages were very interesting but, despite downloading it 4 times, the book simply will not work on my Kindle beyond a certain point.

Chapter 2: Detaching from the problem person in your life can give you clarity about your own needs.I figured it would be a good idea to know what they're reading, especially since these clients regard it so highly but seem to be making little progress. That didn't speak to me, but this book was written for codependent folks who might need that sort of "You're okay! I actually enjoyed Beyond Codependency more because it dealt more with solutions to the problem than lengthy descriptions. When I first read this book, I figure that I would not post my feelings about it because they were too personal.

I'm going to give it a 3 at this point, as I do think there are some really good insights that I felt were beneficial. In her lifetime, she has survived abandonment, kidnapping, sexual abuse, drug and alcohol addiction, divorce, and the death of a child. If, like so many others, you’ve lost sight of your own life in the drama of tending to a loved one’s self-destructive behavior, you may be codependent – and you may find yourself in this book.I realized that I can make decisions and not have to worry if my opinion is what other people may think or want. There is no mention of CoDA either, so I am guessing as an organisation, it did not exist when the book was written.
