Special issues of Korkeajännitys based on Finnish themes have been published by Egmont Publishing since 1998. In the spring of 1980, the Irish Department of Defence sanctioned the establishment of a new unit within the Irish Defence Forces and the Irish Army Ranger Wing (ARW) came into being. Containing 6 issues: Rileys Rifle, Death Patrol, Guns on the Peaks, Battle Wagon, Man of Iron, The Haunted Jungle. P.46, Nazi says "Ja, more British to kill", fellow soldier is shown thinking "This man is truly evil, how can he think like this? Each chapter covers a specific operation and the chapters are prefaced by a short commentary explaining the situation that necessitated the mission.

He has written 7 issues, including No 5133- The Home Front which featured a rare female protagonist, and was illustrated by Carlos Pino. It is actually relevant to toddlers and older children and is one of those parenting books that is fairly long lived. In the chaotic last days of the war, a small troop of battle-weary American soldiers captures a German spy and makes an astonishing find—his briefcase is empty but for photos of beautiful white horses that have been stolen and kept on a secret farm behind enemy lines.

During its launch year two issues were published per month, but due to the comic's increasing popularity this rose to four a month. The commandos' spirit, however, remained undaunted and this is reflected in John Durnford-Slater's exciting and forthright memoirs.

The majority of pages are undamaged with some creasing or tearing, and pencil underlining of text, but this is minimal. In the summer of 1940 John Durnford-Slater led the men of 3 Commando in an exploratory operation on Guernsey.
